The charts are bullshit.  I am fairly thin at 5'8 1/2 inches and weigh 175.   The chart has my idea weight at 155.   I would look like a concentration camp victim at that weight.

In the 80's and early 90's I weighed between 155-160 lbs. Was a runner and very active in sports(baseball/basketball). Since I got old and bought a computer I now weigh between 200-205 lbs. I wanna get to about 170-180 again.

But anyway you will look fine at 155 lbs. I'm 5'9'' and looked and felt good at that weight.

I 'm 5'9" and dieted myself down to 155 a while back. People were asking if I was ok and I did feel weaker. 175-190 is probably ideal. The charts want you to be a bean pole. I like a "little " bulk. I feel great when I'm 180-190.

Finally got back on my diet.  I wore size 36 shorts today.  I have not been able to do that since back surgery number 2!  Kind of stoked.  I had put back on some of the weight I had lost but I have already lost it and a little more.  My goal is to at least get to 200!

I'm happy for your weight loss, really I am, but you've gotta tell me how the hell you remembered about some random 3 year old thread in order to announce it?

I'm no longer a member of the 200 pound club. Lost 25 plus pounds so far.

About a month ago I stopped drinking regular soda, and I checked this morning and I lost fifteen pounds just from that.

I went back on the regular soda since then, ate junk food, gained weight, and got up to 250 lbs. Last September I went on a diet and now I'm 188 lbs.

Get yourself some serious stress once in a while. I had some a few months back and lost 15 pounds. Stress is mostly gone now, so back comes the pounds.

Been there done that myself about a year or 18 months ago.

I'd rather find another method since I think it took 10 years off my life along with the 10 lbs.

Glad your stress is gone cause that ain't fun.

I came here later than most of y'all and I looked at many old threads when I first got here and posted in some.  For some reason some of the early posts I had here show up if I go to my profile so it wasn't a matter of remembering an old thread but one I see anytime I change my avatar or sig pic.

I hit 237 lbs in January. Biggest I have ever been.

Decided on January 27 to go on a diet. Been limiting my calories each day since while going to the gym 4-5 days a week and I am down 46 lbs to 191. Still want to drop about 10 more, but I am very happy with the results so far.
