GERWECK.NET has just learned that World Wrestling Entertainment has ended its relationship with Danny Davis' Ohio Valley Wrestling group as a developmental territory. John Laurinaitis was in Louisville today to make the announcement. All wrestlers under contract to WWE will be transferred to Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa, FL.

If TNA has half a brain, they will hire Snow and pick up OVW as their farm team.

OVW was nothing short of an unmitigated failure.  I don't think I'd blame Snow, but I don't see why TNA or anyone else should be so quick to jump on board.

Once Cornette and later Heyman were dropped ,it was only a matter of time. Some seasoning  in Kentucky was garnered though albeit from shows  in St Theresa's gym and the Derby Park flea- market {Stay around to watch the PPV after the show}. Like watching baseball in Double and Triple A, it was fun to watch the guys on the way up.....so you could say" I knew them when". Time will tell if the FCW and the Bourbon Street Bar shows under the leadership of the Keirn will have equal success. Angle,Mickie James,Cena,Carlito  passed thru Louisville they have done pretty . Match that Skinner..................

Everyone passed through OVW, they had to, that doesn't mean they were trained there.  Carlito was around for almost 10 years before OVW, are you kidding me?  Mickie James was around at least 5 years, then received more training from Finlay who specialized in working with the women once she was called up, OVW had nothing to do with her either.  And Angle was trained in Memphis when that was a developmental territory, I don't think he was ever in OVW except for special appearances after he was already a star.

OVW's only claims to fame are Batista and Cena.  Batista was originally trained by Afa and went on record as saying that OVW completely sucked and he felt they taught him nothing, which got him tons of heat.  And Cena is Cena, he gets by on whatever intangible quality he has but certainly isn't close to a good wrestler and no one would take pride in teaching him in-ring technique.  OVW was a disaster.

Cena had also been in Califonia with Rick Bassman.  Same guy who trained Sting and Ultimate Warrior.

Anyone notice a pattern here?
