 New Flair-Steamboat match???

Looks fine but it's unfortunate we get to hear how Mike Graham trained him, started him in the business, came up with his gimmick for him, and talked him into staying in wrestling when things got tough for him....stupid self-serving asshole.

The full hour should be there. Here are the match times for disc 2

Brisco Bros-13

Orton-14:51

Muraco-9:48

Jake-17:21

Savage-14:35

That equals 1hr 10min. Most discs (wrestling and movies) can handle 3 hrs. I take it this is the match they showed clips of on Rise and Fall of ECW & Greatest Stars of the 80s.

they should have the Flair attack on Ricky at the WRAL studios from the late 1970's.

Should have the match where Savage drops the ring bell on Steamboat's throat, which was from Superstars at the time and was a pretty damn good tv match too.

WWE will release Ricky Steamboat - The Life of the Dragon this Tuesday on DVD. I had a chance to watch the documentary portion of the DVD this morning and it's a nice overview of his career and background. Tommy Young, George Scott, Jim Crockett, Richie Steamboat, JJ Dillon, Kofi Kingston (who really is the closest thing to a young Steamboat right now), William Regal, Chris Jericho and many others are interviewed, plus archival footage of Ric Flair, Jim Cornette, Jake Roberts and many, many others are included. I greatly enjoyed the discussion of the Mid-Atlantic era but watching the footage made me really wonder why no one in WWE ever asks Bob Caudle or Les Thatcher to take part in these things. I wish they had just admitted how awful the fire-breathing Dragon run in WWF was, especially since they had him return and never acknowledged he was the guy that won the IC title at Wrestlemania 3 in front of the biggest company audience ever at the time. They cover the Flair, Savage and Roberts feuds, and the team with Jay Youngblood. I think the most die-hard fans might want something a little deeper but this was a really good profile on one hell of a great athlete. They use the end of the documentary to introduce Richie Steamboat to the masses, so hopefully when he arrives he isn't named Georgia MacMillan or something on the main roster. I can't wait to dive into the matches listed for the set. The DVD will be released Tuesday and can be ordered in the PWInsider.com Superstore at this link - and we thank those of you who use the store, as it helps the site. I'll have a detailed audio review after I watch the complete DVD.

A bunch of those matches have been released or already aired on 24/7.  But I still want to see this.

They shouldve put Steamboat getting DDT'd by Jake onto the cement floor segment on this...and really built it up.

Watching the dvd right now.

Documentary shows clips of Flair rubbing Steamboats face into the Floor. Then clips of Steamboat ripping Flairs cloths off a few week later. Flair is the US Champ.

What was the year for this?
