Yeah, they'll never do a Bruno or Backlund set. Snuka, I could see. Maybe.

They should release a Jim Cornette DVD with only Mantaur and NWA Invasion material on it.

Only 2 discs?  3 disc set and keep mostly 1982-1985 with one match from the AWA and squash match  from the fall of 1990 when he was juiced up and looking really good again.

You need some matches when he was the Eastern championship Wrestling champion.

The problem though with doing a DiBiase disc is WWE doesn't own the rights to the Mid South library. Who knows what is left of the Georgia library? But Ted was in the WWWFE twice. Once in the late 70s then later as the Million Dollar Man.

Most people today don't understand how big the Slaughter vs Iron Sheik feud was and have no idea how good of a team Slaughter & Kernodle were for Crockett. I'm a Slaughter detractor once he left the WWF in the mid 80s but for a four or five year period he was one of the biggest stars in wrestling.

Slaughter is a slam-dunk DVD choice, if only because they probably have a couple thousand matches to choose from.

For all of the people that I've read listed here as deserving of a DVD, so many couldn't get a true perspective due to the missing matches.

They could put together a pretty good DiBiase disc if they worked at it, even without the Mid South footage.  The Mid South footage, if they could buy it, would mean they could do so many sets of so many people.  Freebirds come to mind.

Also...if a Mid South match appeared on TBS, would they be allowed to use it?  Reason I ask is that I know that Bill Watts was on some of the TBS broadcasts, and they showed Mid South matches as part of the program.  I would think that they could use it, since it is a part of the broadcast program that they own.  What I don't know is if WWE has any of the very few that I remember seeing.

Well according to Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine the WWE is going to produce a biography and greatest matches DVD of him. No word of when this would be released.

I really would love to see this, but I won't hold out hope until I see a press release from the WWE or their DVD distributors announcing it.

You bring up a good point about missing matches. Does the Slaughter vs. Sheiky MSG Boot Camp match exist on tape. I know there is one from the Spectrum, but have never seen the New York one.
