I think it's a good set too.  I would have preferred that it was complete seasons instead of highlights but this is probably as good as it is going to get with older material.
I think this is great stuff, now I don't have to sit through the awfulness to see a few great matches

although the awfulness ends up being pretty entertaining

Still a regular on the stand-up circuit in NY and maybe still has a radio gig.  He seemed incredibly unfunny on Raw, with corny ass jokes like "Yokozuna?  Is that his first name or his last name?"  Ugh.  Just Vince's attempt to bring a variety show atmosphere to Raw in those early days because God forbid he just presents wrestling or even sports entertainment.

He is funny as hell on the Imus in the Morning show, but on here he was bad.

Is it easier or harder to be funny next to a corpse?

The Undertaker vs. Damien Demento
January 11, 1993

Haven't had a good Demento YouTube rant in more than a year.  I feel one coming on soon...

I picked this up last night at Best Buy and watched a few matches here and there and was quite entertained by it. The May 17, 1993 episode may rank as one of the best RAW's of all-time with The 1-2-3 Kid scoring the upset over Razor Ramon and Marty Jannetty winning the I-C Title from Shawn Michaels.

I almost forgot how hard Vince tried to get Lex Luger over as a babyface doing the 'Made in The USA' gimmick while almost everyone else like Bret, Razor, Undertaker, Diesel, and Shawn were more over than he was.

Bob Backlund 'snapping' and becoming 'Mr. Backlund' is funnier than better than any 'comedy' the creative team comes-up with these days.

And Matt Borne wrestling an almost total 'shoot-style' as Doink is pure genius. If it wasn't for his 'demons', I'd say Matt Bourne would have been one of the best workers of all-time. As a heel, Doink was a whole hell of a lot better than Luger and Yokozuna

Some of the downsides include a horrible heel promo by Crush on Randy Savage, some bad announcing by Vince trying to sound 'hip' and 'cool', and some by squashes by Luger

I finally watched this set, and enjoyed it, but I rather watch all the crap in a row to really remember how awful some shit was that they want to forget that happened

The hip toss seen around the world was hilarious to watch again

I bought this in September, and have got through 3 of 4 discs.  I've really enjoyed it so far.  Probably one of my mroe favorite releases from W.W.E in recent years.

My favorite fan is the guy wearing the homemade 'Bob Backlund WWF World Champion' t-shirt.
