There has been very little research done on Joe Blanchard's promotion. One reason is The San Antonio and Corpus Christi papers at newspaperarchives.com end at the year 1977. Right now, I am in the middle of extensive research into Texas 1978, and I am trying to figure out when the Blanchard/Von Erich split actually took place. I have dug up several new listings/results(including San Antonio & Corpus Christi) that narrow the gaps for that year. Do anyone have any additional info on when the split took place?
