PWInsider is confirming that Jericho's last scheduled date with WWE was tonight.  He was immediately eliminated from the main event at Night of Champions within seconds and he promised to leave WWE if he didn't win.

The way it was worded on WO.com was that it was his last appearance pending a new contract, not that he was officially gone from the company. I can't imagine he would leave now unless WWE is seriously lowballing him on a new deal.

I guess Taker, Cena, Orton, etc... don't make a Million+ a year? You're reaching My friend.

He's leaving to do outside projects again.  He has the Fozzy tour coming up in particular.  I'm sure he'll be back sooner rather than later, but it's not just a contract negotiation ploy.

Chris Jericho commented on his WWE departure (for now) via twitter, writing, "Since I've apparently made my last appearance in the WWE, I guess I have nothing to do tomorrow....The websites have spoken!!! Whatever, I'm goin to Calgary tomorrow so I'll let yall hash it out..."
Jericho also announced a December 2010 Australian tour for his band Fozzy.

Jericho makes seven figures from the WWE very easily when all his merchandise and PPV bonuses are added atop his downside guarantee. Although he has plenty of outside projects like his band, the short lived ABC gameshow, and being a talking head on some VH1 specials, all of them combined surely don't earn him what he makes from the WWE, even after his travel expenses are taken into account. The sticking point with Jericho and the WWE is his desire to do fewer house shows to enable him to take other outside gigs. The WWE wants him on the road. If they can come to a compromise, he'll stay.

Its just odd he leaves right before the DVD comes out. Too late for them to kill the project isnt it?

Taker and Cena probably do when you figure in merchandise. Other than HHH, I don't think anyone else in the company right now makes 7 figures.

Jericho's on Raw right now so apparently he isn't done yet.  I guess he finishes tonight.
