I'm not sure what surprises me more - Sheamus at # 25 or that The Rock didn't finish at # 1. And I wonder where Flair would have finished if he wasn't currently working for TNA ????

I know he wasn't active THAT much in WWE, but Jim Cornette needs to be on this list.

no Lou Albano, No Grand Wizard, No Jim Cornette, no fred Blassie, I'd put Ken Patera on that list in front of at least 10 people

I'm shocked Cena isn't #1.  Sheamus on the list is a joke even for WWE though.  No one would even think of him as one of the better promo guys in the company today.

As soon as I saw the thread title I immediately thought that Dusty Rhodes should have been number #1. After seeing the list though I realize it is just another WWE farce anyway. Can the WWE ever do anything like this objectively?

As far as Dusty Rhodes being number #1, remember that is only my opinion as I think he would be #1 on a list of this type if I was putting it together as far as former WWF and current WWE people.

He's ranked too high even at #8 if you're basing it solely on his WWF career.  Certainly guys like Graham and Heenan should be above him in terms of how much their mic work meant to this company.

We should come up with our own list of talkers from all feds/territories.

Actually you know you're right. Basing it just on promo work done for/in the WWF/E then he wouldn't be number one on my list. Overall in professional wrestling, regardless of territories I'd rate him my #1.
I have to think about this some more now as far as picking my #1 for just the WWF/E.
I've got four or five guys in mind, I just have to pick one from that group...Hogan, Superstar Graham, Rock, Austin, Heenan...Actually throw in Albano too.
