What would you pick as Flair's best match?

I have found his epic battle with creditors to be quite entertaining.

LOL.

I have always been a fan of Flair matches, that is difficult to call. But either he wins or loses they are great matches thats why its difficult to choose. Flair said his greatest opponent was Steamboat (all min of 20-30 classics), but also toughest was Race (20-60 min classics) and favorite was Dusty (20+ entertaining classics).

My personal favs were Flair-Dusty Bash 7/26/86, Flair-Steamboat ChiTown, Flair-Garvin 9/27/87, Flair-Windham Crockett Cup 87.

When he won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship @ 1992 Royal Rumble. I was "Woooo"-ing up & down the hallway of my high school for a solid week afterwards

My personal favorite Flair matches are the Terry Funk I Quit match, winning the Rumble, and the Vader match at Starrcade.  I wouldn't say they're his best, but he has so many to choose from and most of his best supposedly aren't even on film (he and Steamboat always say their '70s house show matches blew away their '89 PPV series) that it's impossible to say anyway.

Have to agree with that one too. Besides his singles greatest, the Rumble alone proved him being the "60 min man".

Ricky Steamboat at Clash of the Champions in New Orleans

Barry Windham at Battle of the Belts II in Orlando

Bruiser Brody 60 minute draw in St. Louis in February, 1983

with Angelo Mosca vs Iron Sheik and Greg Valentine in Toronto (I believe 1980)

2 out 3 falls defense against Brett Sawyer for Don Owens in 1982 where Buddy Rose challenged the winner before the match started.  He made Hacksaw look VERY good without making himself look very bad like he did in the future.

I've always liked a few of the matches he had with Tsuruta and Tenryu in AJPW, but I don't know the dates well enough to pick out individual ones.

This one.

Royal Rumble 1992
Vader from Starrcade 1993. It's not great technically, but all it took to get there and one of a million times that it was supposed to be Flair's last hurrah. Except it might have been halfway believable at that point.

I liked many already mentioned above, as well as his "Retirement" match at WrestleMania with HBK, but my favorite one is probably the TLC match he had with Edge (w/Lita) on RAW a few years ago . Pretty hot crowd (they were in N.C.) and Flairs daughter in the crowd, as well as it being for the championship added to the whole thing IMO.

Here's a link on VEOH of the match.

I'll go with the 'I-Quit' match with Terry Funk, the 1992 Royal Rumble, and the Music City Showdown match with Steamboat.

Best match I ever saw was one only about 8,000 people saw in Charlotte in March 1979. Flair vs Steamboat--No Dq, No Count Out must be a winner. One of their final matches before his turn. Blew it out and for 40 minutes it was amazing.

Either Chitown Heat or Wrestlewar 89 vs Steamboat. For some reason that match in New Orleans (2 out of 3 falls Clash Of The Champions) doesn't do much for me.

The 1992 Royal Rumble is up there also

Chi-Town Heat '89 with Steamboat

That 3/84 draw with Steamboat on the new disc is incredible too.  A much different bout than their New Orleans draw IMO.
