Okay, I will try to make this as simple as possible. I downloaded a song that I purchased from a website. When I download it, my computer automatically downloads the file to a Temporary Files folder. I do not get a prompt or an option of where to download it. The image goes automatically into my itunes library. I can play the song, but when i attempt to label the song in regards to title and artist, the change will take place, but the next time I try to play the file, I get a prompt saying that it could not locate the file. I think this is due to my labeling the file?? So, I decided to try and move the file, but when I follow the properties and get to it's destination, I get another prompt saying that I need to contact the administrator or the owner of the file to get access!!!! It does not ask for a password or anything like that. How in the hell can I move that file out of that freakin' Temporary Folder!! I get two more tries of downloading it before I will need to pay to download it, again.

And then after you shut down and the problem persists, they'll tell you to...shut down again. I don't use iTunes, but it sounds like its getting its info from the file itself, and when you renamed it, it lost track of that file

I finally go into the temp folder and there is no music file in there just a bunch of cookies and stuff. This computer is going to get thrown across the room!!! Does anybody know how to change the path of where something is downloaded even though the computer automatcially does it? It does not ask me where to download it? Is there anyway I can change the destination?

On my PC's/laptop I have a folder on the desktop labeled "downloads" and everything I download goes to that. Do you have indexing turned on for your hard drive? If so, search for the file you are looking for in the search box in the windows button.

Did you try "Search Programs and Files" under the Start button? Just type in the name of the song and it should find it.

I went to itunes and under information, it asks to show file through Internet Explorer and I did that. It was located in some weird ass folder. I copied it into my music so hopefully that does it.

I have Vista, and it usually asks me where to download things. But when I download from this site, there is no prompt, it just starts downloading to destination: "Temporary Files". Stupid ass stuff.
