Just saw Shark Boy was released, last I heard he wasn't on tv for a while but still worked house shows.

Shark Boy announced on his official website that he requested his release from TNA Wrestling, which was granted.

"I have officially requested and been granted my release from TNA Wrestling," he wrote. "I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at TNA for giving me the opportunity to perform in front of their audience since the very early days of the company. Thanks especially to the great TNA fans who have given me their support throughout the past eight years... Now on to the next chapter!"

A victim of the numerous 180's the company has made.  He was pushed, depushed, pushed, depushed, so often, fans became meh to him

Surprised he was still around

This is about as big a story as WWE releasing Funaki.  The funny thing is, they actually got that retarded "Stone Cold" Shark Boy gimmick over for a while, and then they blew it.  I have no idea why he wasn't on TV (with the exception a cameo on PPV maybe 3 months ago) in 2 years or so.  I thought he was being paid per appearance so I don't know how he could get "released".

I liked Shark Boy... goofy character, but I thought it was funny.

I was hoping that Daffney would come back and be Shark Girl, and they would have some matches with Robbie and Cookie when Shark Boy put Cookie in the shark cage a little while ago.

If he'll work for $40 I'll put my belt on him

if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

The only thing Shark Boy forgot to do in that press release was to wish TNA all the best in their future endeavors.

If his records are complete, he only wrestled 15 times in all of 2010.  I guess that's typical of indy guys but I just don't know how he makes a living doing that.

At the TNA house show I went to, the two most popular wrestlers seemed to be Shark Boy and Suicide.  Shark Boy was still doing the Stone Cold shtick and he seemed crazy over.  Beer Money also seemed really popular.  I swear it seems kids gravitate towards masked wrestlers.

Stone Cold Shark Boy & Black Machismo were 2 of the best gimmicks
TNA ever had.
