Well that sucked!!!
St. John's who are my favorite NCAA basketball team and the team I picked to win the tournament this year just let me down big time.

Very uneventful...They didn't even make it interesting.

Gotta sleep on it and refocus on who I'll be pulling for going forward.

Freaking Gonzaga eh?
Shoulda known, it's not like they don't do this shit every other year for the last 12 years it seems like.

Hell, I might even go jump on their bandwagon for the rest of their tournament.

The only bracket I filled out this year was the Final Four Fiasco for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

I had Michigan State winning today, but something's been off about that team all year. Had them losing to Florida in the next round. Gonzaga is in my elite eight.

This will bite me in the ass, but I didn't go with any Big East teams in the final four. They've killed each other all regular season and none of them have really impressed me. Notre Dame is overachieving and Ben Hansbrough flops.

I'm stinking up the rest of the bracket perfectly fine, though. Vandy was in the elite eight for me.

Gonzaga played their best game of the season last night. The Johnnies were game, but that was the most impressive performance by any team on day number one. Gonzaga/BYU on Saturday should be great.

Boy, did Tennessee shit the bed. Up 23-18 in the first half and only down by four at the half, they manage to lose 45-75.

Bye-bye, Bruce Pearl.

Yeah, his team quitting on him out there has to be the final nail in his coffin. There's no way that team should be losing to Michigan.

After today's game, I'm having a hard time as a Duke fan not to get over confident about this team. If Kyrie Irving had been healthy the entire year, there's no doubt in my mind he would have been the NPOY and Duke possibly would have went undefeated, he is that good. After watching him today in the 2nd half, he started looking like he hadn't missed a step...you add a player that talented back to a #1 seed that went 22-4 without him, you have a scary team.

That said, they'll probably lose to Michigan, I probably just jinxed them..

Jo,if the Devils got to the Final Four or win it all again this year,(which is a good possibility),you know that haters will say the refs gave it to them or the tourney was "fixed",that's what they allways say, especially the Carolina fans.So fuck 'em all,I say.Go Duke!!

last week after Duke waxed the Holes I had probably 10 or so of my Tarheel friends on Facebook screaming about how the refs helped Duke win that game...nevermind that the Holes shot more free throws than Duke. :D

Yep,that's the main reason I hate Carolina,is their (mostly) obnoxious fan base. Not so much the team or the players (except for King Rice, who was the king of all douches back in the day),but their insufferable fans.

Hell,I been rooting for Duke since 1978 when Bill Foster was the coach and Mike Gminski,Kenny Dennard and Jim Spenarkle were the stars, and I hated Carolina even then, and that was before their fans ever even heard of Michael Jordan.

I love to bring up the fact that Carolina is the only team in history to be ranked #3 in the whole damn country and go into the half with 0 points (1979 vs Duke),and that they had the lowest score in NCAA final games for many mnay year (50 vs Indiana),and it really makes them ill when Coach K passed Dean Smith, and will make them even sicker when he passes Knight, maybe even this year.

I make no bones about it,I hate Carolina with a passion.

I was wrong - there is still one entry left (28 out of 28 correct so far).

On the bright side, 1 out of the 5 brackets that I completed is currently in the 99th percentile (overall rank = #3025, 28 out of 32 correct so far)

Ok, Yahoo is officially $1 million safer. Georgetown blew it for the previously perfect bracket entry by losing to VCU. Really killed the guy's bracket too since he had Georgetown winning the next 2 games (so he basically lost 3 games due to this loss).

Wow. Can you get any stupider players on Pitt and Butler. Fouls with under 2 sec. left on both teams and the game is decided on the foul line.

Pitt's foul goes down as the dumbest foul I have ever seen in such a situation. Howard has no shot of winning the game from where he's standing. Not to mention that Howard wasn't even trying to win the game.

Butler = luckiest team in the tournament so far. A wild shot then rebound and putback to win the first game at the buzzer. That was a tie game so it would have gone to OT. Then they beat Pitt like this. Panthers, biggest underachievers in the last decade given all the top five seeds they've had in the tourney.

I know a few games they were playing each other, but still, I think it's comical that the Big East gets 11 in the tourney and if FSU keeps it up against Notre Dame tonight, they are going to get only 2 teams into the Sweet Sixteen...and the ACC will have 3 in there.

If Florida State can hold off Notre Dame (up by 20 right now at 14:30) KU might have the best set up I've ever seen for them getting to a Final 4. Richmond a 12 seed up next, and then a winner of VCU and potentially Fla State) this gives me hope for another return.

That knocked me out of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution contest.

I knew the Big East wasn't going to win many, though. They killed each other during the regular season and none of them were that good to begin with.

And this Kentucky team is pretty mediocre. Harrellson's a big slug who's somehow having a good tournament. No one else has shown that much of anything during the season.

Yeah, but he's also a program killer too, wherever he's went. Is there a school he's coached, that wasn't on some kind of NCAA infractions/suspension?

And think, people said Butler wasn't a final four team when they were having a hard time early in the season.

VCU is a shock though, I think a Butler/VCU final would be hilarious, and I doubt anyone in the US would have selected that

Well,it's Butler vs U-Conn,and I have no reservations whatsoever about rooting for the Bulldogs.

Hel,if my Duke Blue Devils can't win it,I'm just happy to see the UNC shitheels and Cuntyucky Wildcats out of it,but I defintely would like to see Butler win it,good clean program with real student athletes and an underdog to boot,I think it would be fitting to see them down 2 and hit a trey at the buzzer to win it this time.

It would give the NCAA so many fits if Butler actually won it all as a mid major because they treat the mid major schools like red headed step children every year in this tourny.

Honestly, I can't see how Butler can be considered a Cinderella team this time, since they are back in the title game again.

Butler is built for another good year next year as well.  Its a shame they won't be in it longer though, and I would love to see them win it all.

So far this games sucks. 22-19 Butler at the half. Possibly the worst 1st half ever in a championship game.

53-41 UConn. Without a doubt, the worst final I have ever seen.

I didn't watch any of the game, I actually watched Raw, as the ones after Wrestlemania are usually pretty good. I just checked the game stats, thank GOD I didn't watch that abortion...WOW.  Butler shoots 12-67 for the game, under 20%...that is just unfathomable for a championship game. Then I look at UCONN, they shoot 19-63, are you kidding me?

They were both AWFUL. With five minutes left, people were tweeting jokes that if you slept with a girl the same age as Butler's shooting percentage, you would be arrested. Butler made three two point baskets all game. Nobody won this game, one team just did less to lose it.
