With a big stadium show just around the corner, I was just curious how many different cities you've watched wrestling? Did you prefer the big stadiums or the smaller buildings? I went to a stadium show and absolutely hated it. It had no atmosphere and virtually every non-floor seat in the stadium seemed a mile away.

Personally, I've watched in 10 different arenas/stadiums ranging in capacity from 2,000 to 70,000. My preference is a 15,000 seat arena because most seats seem close enough to watch the show and the crowd has the opportunity to enhance it.

Philadelphia Spectrum, the Wachovia CEnter and the ECW Arena. Somewhere in there are a bunch of high school gymnasiums and that type of thing.

Rapides Parish Coliseum (Mid-South/UWF/JCP/other)

Baton Rouge Centroplex (UWF/JCP)

New Orleans Superdome (UWF/JCP/WCW)

New Orleans Municipal Auditorium (UWF or JCP)

Shreveport Hirsch Memorial Coliseum (UWF/World Class/Maybe JCP or WCW too)

Monroe Civic Center (UWF/maybe JCP or WCW too)

Lafayette Cajun Dome (WWF)

Dallas Sportatorium (World Class)

Houston Summit (WWF)

Sam Houston Coliseum (JCP and/or WCW)

Birmingham Boutwell Auditorium (Continental)

CNN Techwood Studios in Atlanta (JCP/NWA 1986 - the morning before Big Dust beat Flair at the Bash in Greensboro - we picked up on the finish by context clues - among other things, we had a sign about World Champ Ric Flair and they made us put it away)

Norfolk Scope (Starcade 1988)

Omni in Atlanta (Starcade 1989)

Plus various Gyms, Armories, Ballrooms etc. in various states with various independant promotions. I know I saw a couple in Colorado and a couple in MS along with many in Louisiana. I saw a really good indy show in the Hallway of a rundown Mall in Alexandria back in 1989 or so with some good wrestlers on the card.

I saw World Calss in its dying days at my High School Gym in the early 90's, saw UWF in various gyms in its later days, saw Continental in a gym in Jasper Alabama in 1987 and at a Town Convention Center of some sort in 1988 in Natchez, I think. I saw World Class at a gym in Vicksburg I believe.  I saw ECW at the Alexandria Downtown Holiday Inn Riverfront Center with about  40 people in 1998.  I'm probably forgetting something. Almost all of this was between 85 to 91 or so, with a few exceptions.

I'll start with the WWF/WWE shows and the various venues I've seen them in.While the list looks impressive, many venues were within 8 hour driving distance from my NJ home. Some PPV's were planned as a vacation destination ,Wrestlemania 's in particular. My secret.....besides utilizing honored guest points.....married with children...the weekend always belonged to the family in the various cities. Museums ...sightseeing ....afternoon ballgames. Tough to begrudge Dad 3 hours on a Sunday night when everybody is exhausted. Also made it a point when travelling solo to leave early or catch an early Monday flight home. Add being a fan for forty years with a "tolerant " wife that's how I do it.My NWA/WCW trips are another chapter. Not a fan of stadium venues.....give me the city landmark arena

Baltimore arena                       Toronto Skydome

MSG old/new                       Pittsburgh Civic Center            Norfolk Scope

Nassau Coliseum                 Hershey Arena                        MCI Center

Brendan Byrne arena          Montreal's Molson Center         Gund Arena

Plaza Arena                          Maple Leaf Garden                   Richmond Coliseum

Jersey City,Newark,Paterson armory         Capitol Center      Nationwide /Columbus

MCI Center                            Staples Center                           Spectrum

Wachovia Center                  Verizon Center NH                     Burlington VT venue

Boardwalk Hall...Atlantic City    Ford Field                                Hoosier Dome

Providence Civic Center           Astro Dome                            Pepsi Arena

New Haven Coliseum     Rosemont Horizon           Asbury Park Hall

Boston Gardens old/new       Toronto Sky Dome   Wildwood convention Hall

Centrium   Bobcats arena       Fed-Ex Forum       Bradley Center

Oh, I went to the ECW Arena too.  How could I have forgotten that?  A bus trip with some friends when Justin Credible interrupted the 10-bell salute for Tommy Dreamer's grandfather.

Milwaukee Sports Arena
Burlington, Iowa Municipal Auditorium
Burlington, Iowa Class A baseball stadium (used to be called B's Park, no idea about now)
Some Public Auditorium in Fort Madison Iowa
Same for Ottumwa, Iowa
Verteran's Auditorium, Des Moines, Iowa
Some Public Auditorium in Quincy, Illinois
Whatever the facility was at the Amarillo Fairgrounds where the Funks had their weekly shows
Some Public Auditorium in Waterloo, Iowa
Los Angeles Olympic Auditorium
Los Angeles Sports Arena
Los Angeles Forum
The Country Club - Reseda, CA  (UWF tv tapings)
Some Public Auditorium in Elk Grove, Ill.  (Claw might be able to help with the name of that one)

Seems like I might be missing one, but that's what I recall right now.
