Is it full yet?

I tried to sign on but I get this message:

There was a problem
There is not room in this league if all teams from last year return. To join, get the commissioner to increase the maximum number of teams, or remove teams that will not be returning. (Error #638)

I still get the same message. Are the six teams registered people who were signed up last year?

Sorry guys...

Yes the spots are held for people who played last year and will open up if they decide not to play or didn't pay attention last year.

I will leave it as is for awhile longer and then give the former players a deadline to sign up and the open up the remaining spots to new players.

As always, if the first league is full, Claw will open up a second league.

Will keep you updated.

Those don't usually get going until the NFL season is way closer, by my recollection. First week of August seems about right to me....that's when I usually start looking around for leagues to get into.

That's odd, when I tried to sign up it said that if all returning teams from last year come back there will not be enough room, so I was not allowed to register my team.

If you get a "There is a problem" message, click on the HOME tab, then enter the league ID / password. The posted links wouldn't work for me either.

I've got The Patsies as my D. It's going to be VERY, VERY hard to cheer for them this season, good fantasy points or not. Whoever has The Jets D (Serge I think) you wanna do a straight up trade? :)

On the subject of Fantasy Football - have any of you ever seen a show called The League ????

It's about a group of friends that are competing against each other in a FFL and it is funny as hell. Thanks to a marathon that aired last week on Super Channel I now have the first 2 seasons ( 19 episodes ) on my PVR and will watch them all ASAP.

What happened today Claw???? You had the perfect opportunity to win one from Quattrro and your team shit the bed.
Let's hope for your team's sake that Greg Jennings comes out in the 2nd half and goes apeshit on offense.

I had a season week today, but unfortunately Hammer's team played pretty good too. Plus he's still got Calvin Johnson and Jahvid Best to go tomorrow night. Right now I've got 21 points on him, plus I've still got my kicker, The Bears' Robbie Gould to start. Hopefully The Bears D can shut down 'Megatron' and Best tomorrow night and Gould can pad my lead enough to win.

I got damn lucky this week.  My WRs are flat out terrible.  That autodraft wasting a high pick on Peyton is going to haunt me all year.  Not setting my draft order this year hurts.

So know what the hell do we do? Version 2.0 ended in a 4 way tie--me, khawk, stingy, whoever Fire Schottenheimer is--largely by virtue of Philadelphia sucking ass.

A four way tie is like going to prom with your sister. Not that anybody on this board would know anything about going to the prom with his sister.

Stingy didn't win!

I won. I am the Lions fan on this board. Sting is just a band wagon jumper now that they have put up a few wins.

OK since I made the mistake in starting Survival V3.0 for week #11's games an hour before they started, instead of starting them for week #12 (with me and Sin being the only 2 signed up lol), I just created Version 4.0 which will start with week #12's games on Thursday(Nov. 24th) (including Sunday& Monday's games).

You have to get you pick in 5 minutes before the start of the game.

Just inviting you all to the new S&W Survival Pool Version 4.0. Single elimination and will continue through the playoffs...You guys should know the drill by now.

Please join as I like seeing as many teams as possible.

Group name: S&W Survival FB 2011 V4.0
Group ID #: 39895
Group Password: wrestling

Hope to see you all there and be sure to mention it to anyone on the board that may not know about it...Hell if you have any friends that are not on the S&W board that you think would like to play, invite them to.

Thanks,
Rob a.k.a. carpetbeggar

In the regular fantasy football league, I've already beaten Brodie this week. My quarterback less team is on a 5 game winning streak. If I can somehow beat Sniper Hitmen next week, I'll probably make the playoffs.

I'm so disappointed right now. I was so close to replacing Sidney Rice with Johnny Knox yesterday in my starting lineup. Rice left in the 3rd qtr and ending up with a big, fat zero, while Knox ended up with 21 fantasy points. I would still be behind, but Brandon Jacobs could have got a come from behind win for me tonight. It's hard to compete with Benlen when he has Brady and Welker starting each week.
I'm pretty much finished this season. I might have a small chance to make the playoffs if I can somehow win out, but I can't see it happening. I have a tough schedule remaining.

Claw is flying high after a slow start to the season. On the other hand Grog is really in a bad way. I think he's lost 7 straight now?

BTW, who is the Oorang Indians? They might have had a chance, but they haven't updated their roster for weeks now. That hurts especially when you're not doing it during bye weeks.

I went into last night's game with a 29 point lead in my matchup with Oorang with which I didn't feel comfortable at all. The reason? Oorang had Drew Brees going.

Doesn't Brees go and put up 38 points? One of my most disappointing (but not entirely unexpected) losses of the season.

Good stuff. Hopefully I'll do better than I did for the regular season pick'ems. I think I have the worst record of the three or four of us that played all the way through the whole season. I haven't checked how I made out yesterday yet though.

I'm in. So far it's brodiescomics, kHawk and myself. Come on everyone, join up, the more the merrier. I like these pick-em and survivor pools when there are lots of people playing as opposed to leagues where you only have four or five players.

For those wondering the first bowl games to pick on are next Saturday, on December 17th.

I thought I would lose for sure. Sniperhitmen just needed a fg in tonites game to beat me and he ended up with 2 extra points.

In the event that a playoff game ends in a tie, the deadlock is broken using the following system:

1. Winning percentage against this opponent during the regular season.

2. Playoff seed.

Muff Divers beat Sniper Hitmen in week 4 79-70, so barring any scoring corrections, I believe that Muff Divers will advance.

So the S&W Fantasy Super Bowl is a real nail biter.

I'm currently leading Benlen 81-80. He has Ryan Grant going tomorrow. I have Julio Jones going on Monday.

Most likely gonna come down to the last day.

You never know with Julio Jones though. Roddy White might get all the looks tonight.

If I'd just played Jermichael Finley instead of Aaron Hernandez like I'd originially planned, I'm not having this conversation.

Ben had Ryan Grant in the Sunday night game, who scored 3.  I had Julio Jones in last night's game, who netted me 11.  I ended up winning by 9, but it was still way too close for comfort.

The irony is, I had Lance Moore in Jones' slot until mid week and replaced him with Jones.  Had I played Moore, I'm not sure I would've won.

Congrats to The Spungos whoever you are for your win over me in the championship of the Mid Atlantic Legends league. What a crazy league that was this season, one that I didn't think I even had a shot to make the playoffs in and just squeaked in with the #4 seed and made it to the finals. Final was 66-63 and going into this week I thought I had a great shot. Good season tho, probably the most fun league I've played in.

Dumbass me had ahmed bradshaw in Ryan grants spot until thursday.
Thought manning would be throwing more than handing off so o switched it to grant. Don't know what the outcome would have been but I lost a few points from the switch. Classic case of overthinking.

When you've had a 5 year hiatus from winning a title, can it really be considered "getting it back"?

Hey, don't point out facts!

Still I put my record out there:

2005 - Champ
2006 - Champ
2007 - Champ
2008 - 3rd
2009 - 2nd
2010 - 4th
2011 - 3rd

Made the playoffs each year.  I'm still the People's Champion dammit

Don't forget that the Pick 'Em continues on through the playoffs. Make your picks. There will be a regular season champion, playoff champion, and overall champion.

The Pick 'em playoff thing is a mess right now. Extra game listed with no teams is keeping it listed as incomplete. It's even worse ini a couple I play with Confidence points...won't let certain point values be assigned.

I hope they get it fixed sooner than later.

For the Pro Pick 'em pool, it's down to me and Benlen. We're tied with the same amount of points, but I'm ranked first going into the SB. I must have the lead in tiebreakers I guess?

Just so you know I'm going to pick The Giants. :)
