Not a full slate as we still have teams getting their bye weeks in.

It's really a "two game" weekend. You have Dallas at Philly Sunday night. You have New England at Pittsburgh earlier in the day.

We'll talk about anything though. Your picks, fantasy moves, and commentary as it all unfolds are certainly welcome.

Betting odds from the Las Vegas Hilton.

Indianapolis at Tennessee (9)
Jacksonville at Houston (9.5)
Minnesota at Carolina (3.5)
New Orleans (NL) at St. Louis
Arizona at Baltimore (13)
Miami at NY Giants (10)
Washington at Buffalo (6)
Detroit (2.5) at Denver
New England (3) at Pittsburgh
Cleveland at San Fran (9.5)
Cincinnati (3) at Seattle
Dallas at Philadelphia (3.5)
San Diego (3.5) at Kansas City

The number that the oddsmakers tried to put in crashed the system.

Sam Bradford didn't play last week due to injury. They are waiting to set the line due to his might or might not playing status.

I know there's a ton of Steeler fans on this board. What's the vibe in terms of them and the Pats. New England is the only team I can think of that has been favored in Pittsburgh for a long time now.

Brady is, I believe, 6-1 against Pittsburgh....I think with the Steelers tired old defense, they got 7-1 this week.

NE's Defense isn't much better than Pitts, they play shootout football basically. They score a lot, but so do their opponents.

We'll have to wait & see

Other than the opener, the Steelers defense has been pretty solid. The pass defense has probably been better than it has for years, but the run defense is probably slightly weaker than it's been.  New England has a beast D-line and a questionable at best secondary.

Brady's going to be Brady as usual, but the Steelers might just have the best (if not unknown) receiving corps in the NFL. They're going to have to double team Wallace to keep him from getting another 95 yard TD, and that should open up things for Sanders, Brown, and Heath Miller.

Everyone's expecting a shootout, and with the weapons the Steelers have it's the best shot they've had in years to beat the Pats as long as Ben doesn't get too obsessed with going for the long bomb every drive.

It should also be mentioned Dick LeBeau was embarrassed by the whooping the defense got last year and vowed it would not happen again. If he releases the hounds this week, Brady could be in for a long day.

Brady can't complete a pass if he has been knocked on his ass.

If LeBeau plays his usual football defense against Brady, it will be a long day for the Stillers with the only way for a victory is for a grand shoot-out to occur which favors Brady.

LeBeau for some reason has not made big adjustments when playing NE.  I think if the Stillers try and blitz Brady then it could get ugly fast.  The main problem that Pittsburgh has had playing Brady & The Boys is that their defense is not created to stop an offense like the Patriots.  The reason being is that the Stillers defense backs, including the CBs, are not called upon to cover receivers man-to-man.  The cornerbacks need to be up on the line chucking Welker and the other receivers.  Screw up Brady's timing.  This delay will prevent Brady to get into his timing rhythm and then the pressure could collapse around him.  You cannot defend against Brady when you are putting guys like an aging linebackers Farrior or Foote to cover guys like Welker, running backs and tight ends.  I would play dime sets and use as many DBs as possible to stop the pass and hope they can also seal off the running lanes.

Let's see if LeBeau has learned anything and changes things up.  He has gotten trumped in almost every meeting.

The Stillers also need to maintain possession of the football for more than one set of downs and kill the clock with their offensive possession.  Like sek said this fascination with Ben going in there and running on first down and then lobbing long bombs on the other two downs needs to be reigned in.

I thought of the 0-8 2007 Rams who got their first win of that season against the Saints.  For all the bluster of not taking the Rams lightly or looking past them the Saints did.  The defense played lights out and if they could play like that all the time their D would be beasts.

Not a Romo apologist but that was a hell of an INT by Nnamdi on a tipped pass that Bennett didn't even try to grab.  That one was not Romo at all.

That Eagles offense reminds me of the 2000/2001 Rams offense in that nobody will stop them but themselves. They have moved the ball up and down on everybody this yr and in reality they should be 6 - 1.

WTF happened to Desean Jackson? Motherfucker's killing me this year in fantasy. I can't bench the inconsistent sob because he's boom or bust. It's clear to me that Maclin is the number 1 WR now. McCoy is excellent.

For guys in H2H matchups weekly, Desean is a fucking nightmare.

The good and bad of a blowout.  I have McCoy and Vick in my money Fantasy League. High score each week gets $50. I took the 50 two weeks ago and was 9 points away from the money this week. Vick & McCoy were the major reasons I was that close, but if the Cowboys would have played a little harder, maybe I'd have gotten those 10 points in the 4th.  I have Jason Witten, too, & he had his worst game of the season.

Phillip Rivers sucks this year. He is losing games for SD and he can't get the ball to his receivers, who are about 7 inches taller than the average corner each (Floyd and Jackson).

He's gotta be the biggest fantasy bust, especially after last season. He looks absolutely terrible. And having Floyd, Jackson and Gates catching passes from you... that shouldn't be the case. Whatever, the guy is a total d-bag anyway. Chargers blow.

He's gotta be the biggest fantasy bust, especially after last season. He looks absolutely terrible. And having Floyd, Jackson and Gates catching passes from you... that shouldn't be the case. Whatever, the guy is a total d-bag anyway. Chargers blow.

I got off work last night @ 8pm and headed to a local sports bar to watch the game. It was funny seeing the rise and fall of the fans during the game as the Chiefs early on looked like they'd walk away with it, just to see the lead erode, and the inevitable loss coming with SD's last drive. Then watching the place erupt as Rivers fumbled in the waning seconds, the Chiefs stopping SD on their OT possession..and the methodical drive to the Succop FG was pretty hilarious. Now that I realize how much the Broncos, Dolphins and Raiders suck, the chiefs might now have a shot at the division. They have 2 games left vs Denver, and one at home vs Oakland. If they win all 3 plus beat Miami at home that would take them to 8 wins. Problem is, the other 5 games are brutal...NE, Chicago and Jets on the road, and Pitt, GB at home. They'd have to win 1 of those to get to 9-7. Stranger things have happened though.
