Regardless of how they were ranked, look at the season Schenn has had compared to RNH, they're not even close.

Agreed - he might have been LA's top prospect last year but he definitely wasn't the top overall prospect.

He was third behind Nugent-Hopkins and Larsson, so let's not act like he was a nothing prospect.

H.F. Boards are a joke.

That wasn't from the message board, it was from Hockeysfuture.com.

I know the boards are a joke, but those are the actual rankings

Sorry, Hockey Futures are a joke to.

Bullshit. Their track record is much better than the Hockey News at propect predictions.

To each His own. I prefer the Hockey News over Hockey Futures.

They are.

Malkin is one of those "repeat offenders without a history."

Malkin was the one who started the fight against Henrik Zetterberg in the Finals, received an instigator for starting a fight in the last 5 minutes of a game, which would've meant a suspension for the following game. Somehow, the instigator " magically" went away, and He played in the next game. So there are special rules for Malkin & Crosby.

Here is Rangers Coach John Tortorella from last night's Rangers/Pens game:

Pat Leonard ‏ @NYDNRangers
So .... get a load of this from Tortorella on Orpik's knee on Stepan: (cont'd next tweet)

Torts: "It's a cheap, dirty hit. I wonder what would happen if we did it to their two whining stars over there." #NYR

Torts: "Just no respect amongst players, none. It's sickening." #NYR

Torts: "It's one of the most arrogant organizations in the league. They whine about this stuff all the time, and look what happens." #NYR

Torts: "It's ridiculous, but they'll whine about something else over there, won't they? Starting with their two (bleep) stars." #NYR

Kinda ironic its coming from Torts. I love him, but he is one of, if not the biggest fuckin whiner in the league.

It is what it is. Hockey is a violent game. I won't complain about Orpik's hit, whether it was dirty or not, but I also don't want to hear Crosby whine when he gets frieght-trained in one of these playoff games.

One thing is for certain. You can change the equipment and rules all you want, injuries in hockey won't change until the players change.

Say what you will about Crosby, but what confuses me is A: when has Malkin ever whined, and B: if he did no one can understand what the hell he says so why would it bother anyone?

Also I think Torts was just piling on with the Orpik hit since bashing the Pens suddenly became the hot thing to do. Brooks lead the team with like 250+ hits, and this was the first one I recall that was questionable so it's not like it was a Matt Cooke cheapshot deal.

Personally, it's been kind of funny to see the team I root for suddenly become the "heels" of the NHL. I think they should go with it actually. Whenever a team gets a power play on them, Bylsma should throw in his shoe like J.J. Dillon to help them cheat to win.

Malkin did not receive the suspension because Campbell and Bettman said "he had no prior history." The only problem was it was the second time they waived a suspension for him, because he had "no prior history." Wouldn't the second offense constitute "prior history"? Then he had one more scrape the next season, but was not suspended, or fined because he had "no prior history."

There are about 20 of those type of " cheap shots" a game in the NHL.

....and that's why the NHL struggles to get any kind of viewership outside of Canada and a few US cites within a few hours drive of the border.

The reaction to all this has been hilarious, first some scrub cross checks the face of the league on the way to the bench (from behind, way after the play is over). Then the team that is supposed to be all about being rough completely and totally loses their shit when one of the Pens' fourth liners levels a guy cleanly center ice.

That doesn't even cover Mike Milbury going on radio and making fun of Crosby's concussions and calling Bylsma a pussy I guess for not walking across to the Flyers' bench to single-handedly fight the entire team? I'm sure Dan would beat Milbury's ass but Mike would want no part of him considering he doesn't play on a pee wee team.

That " Scrub" You talked about had 1 Goal & 2 Assists in His First playoff game.
