Day 1 of March madness didn't have too many surprises other than ANC-a allmost beating mighty Syracuse (they would have if there were half assed competent referees) but for the most part held status quo.............day 2 was definitley the day the weenie teams took over

Lehigh stuns Duke

Norfolk Sate defeats Mizzou

Ohio eliminates Michigan

Today has shown that the weenie teams can still get it done, does anybody see any of these teams winning the next round?

I actually had OU upsetting Michigan last night, but have them losing on my bracket to USF tomorrow.  And for whatever reason I thought Mizzou would flame out early and had them losing to Florida on all my brackets, so their loss didn't hurt at all since nobody picked them to lose yesterday and I didn't lose any ground.

I expect more upsets today and tomorrow. Michigan was the only Big 10 team to lose in the first round.

I do have to admit that if I weren't a lifelong Duke fan that I would have enjoyed the hell out of yesterdays games, what with not 1 but 2 weenie teams slaying giants.

I had Kentucky, Mizzou, Ohio State and Kansas in my Final Four do Mizzou screwed me there, but otherwise I'm okay having picked 24 of 32 correctly so far.

The whole damns eason now has come down to the simple ABC's................Anybody But Carolina

I'm still doing well. I picked about half of these upsets, and the ones that I didn't pick, I had the team I missed on losing in the next round anyway.

I was wrong about Saturday. No upsets. Big 10 went 3 for 3 in close games.

Missouri gong out early could have been fatal, but Duke's flop actually helped out by hurting others worse than me. I can still pull this off.

I don't think this was an upset. If they weren't screwed against UNC, NC State would have won the ACC tourney and Georgetown sucks in the tourneys every year.

Seedings wise it was an upset but I see your point about NC State being a hot team.

UNC's point guard Kendall Marshall broke his wrist today, probably gonna be gone from the tourney. I don't pull for injuries, but every one of my Tardhole friends that told me that Ryan Kelly missing all of Duke's ACC and NCAA tourney games with injury didn't hurt them at all, well, once the Holes lose and I see just ONE of them attribute it to Marshall's injury, I'm gonna rip them a new one..

Despite the rising of the weenie teams I still have 3 of my Final Four still alive as are 5 of my Elite 8 picks.

I'm like Jo in that I hate to see any kid get injured, especially this time of year, and I hope the kid (Marshall) can play, but I heard the same thing from tarheel fans when Kelly was out, so it seems as if karma has bitten them in the ass, I absolutely refuse to cut them any slack as far as injuries are concerned, allthough no matter what happens from this time forth they will have their built in whiny excuse for losing.

Fuck 'em, I hate the tarheels. I picked them to lose in the sweet 16 anyways.

So much for the vaunted Big 10. The Syracuse/Wisconsin game was really good though.

Louisville came back for the victory. Ohio State downed Syracuse. Great games. Both winners are going to the final four.

Go KU. Looks like I"m the only person who even picked them to go to the final 4 in the pool, and if I'm going to keep the lead I need them to beat NC, since pretty much everyone else picked Carolina.

I have Kansas going to the Final game but I also have Michigan State beating them. My brackets are fucked so I'm just enjoying the games.

Kansas takes out NC 80-67. Looks like the I'm the only one with 3/4 Final 4 picks. Now I just need KU to take out Ohio State and Kentucky to beat Louisville to win this pool.

A Kentucky over Ohio State title game would move me from 9th to second in my pool. Could have won it if UNC won yesterday, but with their injury situation, and Barnes pissing down his leg all game, it wasn't going to happen.

I had Mich St beating Kentucky in the Semis and Ohio St in the Finals. Our Basketball Coach had Kentucky over Ohio St in the Finals. If Louisville beats Kentucky, we tie and split the pot. If Kentucky wins, he takes it all. No one else has a shot at this point.

With that said, each of the 4 years I've played at my current job, I've been in this scenario (where I'm one of the last two standing and the results of a Final Four and/or Championship game determines who takes it all) and I lost every time.

It'll be extra sweet for him, as some of our parents/boosters bought him tickets to the Final Four (perks of being a coach at a private school).
