Name your "how did he get that job"

I will start

Norv Turner. Kept getting hired as a head coach no matter how poor his track record was as such.

Norv isn't that bad of a head coach. Currently a little under .500 overall, but since he got to San Diego, he's won over 60 percent of his games, and has never finished lower than second in the division, and won three division titles. He keeps getting hired because he's a great offensive co-ordinator.

Isiah Thomas still making money off the basketball industry boggles my mind. Great player, but awful as a coach/GM.

Slept with Mrs. Baba to get control of the gaijin booking in All-Japan, used that title to get an office spot in WCW, came over to WWE during the sale, kissed ass, politicked, and undermined Jim Ross at every turn, and eventually wound up with his job. The very epitome of a corporate weasel.

I think Hawk replaced Harry Caray. Let me google White Sox Announcing history just to be certain. Hawk and Don Drysdale were actually pretty good together.

Yep I was right.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Chicago_White_Sox_broadcasters

WGN-TV Ch. 9 (1981)

Harry Caray, Jimmy Piersall, Lou Brock (1981)

WFLD Ch. 32 (1982-89)

    Don Drysdale, Ken Harrelson (1982-85)

Hawk then became General Manager of the White Sox. That would be the better question. How did Hawk get the GM job?

Hawk was strictly East Coast, wasn't he?

I wonder how he got here in the first place.

Hawk was fired by the Red Sox as an announcer and The White Sox signed him. How this came about would be a good question for Jerry Reinsdorf?

Isiah because of his on the court career

Mike Martz was the "Offensive Coordinator" behind the "Greatest Show On Turf" Rams so that all made sense when Vermeil bowed out

Based on what I can tell from his time at Pitt, it seems the deal with Dave is he's probably the greatest guy in coaching in terms of being a solid human being and a class act. The problem is his teams are boring as shit and run offenses straight out of the 1960s.

However if you want a coach you can be 100% sure won't embarrass you with scandal, he's your guy.

Phillies Broadcaster Chris Wheeler. I don't know One Phillies Fan that even remotely likes the Guy.
