As a rocker, it does the job. As a Kiss song, it's pale in comparison to the hooks they use to have in their songs. Tommy Thayer is a disgrace as "ACE" even though he can play guitar.

I gave up completely on KISS when they decided to put fake guys in Ace & Peter's makeup. Give them their own persona you two greedy fucks!

The song itself is apparently about nothing. He lost me in the first minute by singing about
1. Making sacrifice
2. Money is the key
3 Hell or.....
The song is apparently about nothing. At least you know what you're getting with "Rocket Ride", "Strutter", "Got to Choose", "Magic Touch", etc.....

Something Foolio thinks is reserved for porn stars only, teh anal. Pretty blatant in the lyrics.

HBF has it right too, Tommy is a disgrace as "Ace". Ive heard about a half a dozen songs off the new disc, its nothing to brag about.

Not great, not bad.

But why bother showing the solo albums artwork of Ace & Peter?

Seeing them in Sept with the Crue. But I hope they don't play anything from their new album :)

They will, their setlists.include about 4-6 new songs, the rest is a mix of stuff. I hear Tommy isnt very good doing any of Ace's songs.

SM, where did you see their setlist? I am curious because their last tour, for Sonic Boom, they only played around 3 songs from the new album. I also am hoping they play a full set, and not a condensed one due to time constraints touring with Motley.

I get all my setlists from setlist.fm as soon as a tour begins.  Most bands don't mix it up much.  Here's what KISS has been doing.  I don't know or care about them or this tour, but I only see June 30 and July 4 up so I assume the tour just started.  They do a really short show.

interesting - thanks. Looks like only one song from the new album, and yes, looks to be a shorter set.

I didn't look at that thing that was posted, but I hope KISS are playing "Rock 'N Roll All Night" this time around,

No offense intended, but Ace isn't very good doing any of Ace's songs these days either...

Love KISS, don't mind new guys in the group, but as has been said ad nauseum - at least give them their own makeup and character.  Gene is all about money and marketing, he could have marketed all six KISS members at that point.  I mean, I'm almost positive that Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent never wore Peter and Ace's makeup schemes.

I didnt Paul & Gene mentioned it in some interview I read on Blabbermouth, plus, they just did a UK gig last night & only new song on the setlist was HOH, the rest was all older stuff. Maybe they.changed their minds, or are saving stuff for their NA tour and/or bigger stops.

I'm with you on the makeup. Yeah, Eric was the Fox and Vinnie was the Pharaoh.

The new single...not thrilled with it. Love the solo though. I'm in the small camp that thinks Tommy Thayer's doing a fantastic job as Ace.

I think that Tommy Thayer is great, Eric Singer too.   I just think that to play it off like he's "Ace" with the makeup and singing all of Ace's songs...it's just a bit over the top but not at all his fault - he does what he's told to do.  I mean, if you went to a KISS show and didn't hear 'Shock Me", you wouldn't consider your night a failure.  But I can understand long time fans that would hear Tommy singing it get pissed off.

It's only gonna get worse, as a new "Demon" and "Starchild" are ready to step in when Gene and Paul are no longer physically able to perform.
