Same rules as last year. Auto-pick draft, 12 teams, etc. If you have any suggestions on rule changes, etc. post them here so that we can discuss them.

The Auto-Pick draft will be held between the 3rd and 4th week of the preseason. This will give you guys an oppurtunity to check out a few players before finalizing your pre-draft rankings. I will give 72 hours notcie before setting the auto-draft to ready and it should take about 24 hours to draft after that.

Good Luck!!

Make sure that you choose the free league sign-up (the blue one) not the Fantsay Football Plus (the yellow one).

You don't need my advice. Those results are deceiving.

Juanita skewed the whole deal in 2005 by dropping all non-Falcon players, including one LT.  I just happened to have the lowest waiver priority and picked up LT to go along with Shaun Alexander. It wasn't even fair.

Last year I limped into the top 4 and got lucky in the playoffs.  I made bad/stupid moves all last year.

Now 2006, I did pretty good, picking up Colston early (and trading him late when he got injured I think), along with Barber, Jones-Drew, and Cooley all who had good years.

Out of all the shenanigans going on in the early days, the Oorang Indians are my favorites. An all-Indian roster for games and Indians and dogs for haltime entertainment.

I managed to eek out second place in the OSW Late League last season, despite losing Ronnie Brown. My big pick up was Derek Anderson. I probably blew my wad, though, and will finish in the gutter this year.

Last year's Late League was my most gut wrenching fantasy league of all time; I was running roughshod over all the competiton.  I had a stacked lineup, courtesy of a fortuitous draft (Brady, Westbrook, TO, Edwards) and timely pickups (Kolby Smith, Ryan Grant, Kenny Watson).  Hell, my backup QB was Farve, that's how stacked I was.

I was 12-1 (my only loss came against my bro-in-law, Vick's Dawg Pound) going into the playoffs, when I matched up against Vick again.  None of my guys showed up to play that week.  Brady, who was averaging like 40 points/week, got me like 15.  Neither Edwards nor TO showed up to play that week.  In fact, this was the week that Westbrook had a clear run to the endzone, and laid down on the 1 yard line to run out the clock.  It was that type of week.

This year, I will be playing with a vengance.  I don't think I'll EVER have a team as stacked as that one again, though.

Your team was "Iron Mike Dull?" That team was ferocious. Then the upset. Then I shat the bed against Vick in the championship round.

That was me.  My team was the equivalent of the 2007-08 Patriots.  It looked unbeatable until the upset.  Just goes to show that, with a little luck (or in my case, BAD luck) anything can happen.

Me losing that fantasy league and then the Patsies losing in the Super Bowl.  Personally, that was about the worst four week stretch in terms of sports that I can remember.  I still haven't fully recovered.

I hear ya. I had the following guys in a keeper league last year.

Brady, Addai, Westbrook, Parker, Andre Johnson, Chad Johnson, Moss, Cooley

I was 13-1 going into the playoffs and had the same thing happen to me, ie. Brady took a dump against the Jets, and the guy I was playing went insane. It was one of the most frustrating freaking days I have ever had.

I know I am a week late, but...

I will be setting the draft status to "on" on Tuesday morning (08-26) around 8:00 AM CST. Please make your last minute changes to your draft order and good luck.

The draft has been held. Check out your teams. I am in the trade market for a kicker, a tight end and a defense. Every team except mine should have two tight ends, two kickers and two defenses unless you excluded them like I did. Take a look at my roster. If you like one of my backup running backs or one of my backup wide receivers, offer me a tight end, a kicker or a defense. I'll consider all offers.

If the offer is better than the trade I might be able to make with my buddy the waiver wire.

Claw, I've told you before...great minds think alike.  Or we both googled the same sites.

But my dumbass missed two no name kickers and didn't exclude them.

I did the same strategery in my Work league and was very happy with the results.  But I knew what position I was picking at. This time not as happy considering I lucked out and got #2 pick.  I had some bad ordering in there somewhere and not excluding those crap kickers screwed up my RD 7  pick

Also 2-0. Two TDs from waiver wire pickup Tony Sheffler plus greatness from Eli Manning and Terrell Owens.

T.O. might be a dick but he's a great fantasy football player.

I wasted 2 from Barber, 2 from shitty Chris Chambers, and 3 from Romo. Still got my ass handed to me by the Clawmasters.

BTW - You can thank me for Sheffler too. I dropped him in favor of Dallas Clark, who promptly blows up his fuckin' knee.

I am still in receiver hell. Ocho Cinco scores 1 point a week and I have no consistent 3# guy. Chris Chambers has been great, but not enough to cover.

I keep starting the wrong RB. Last week it didn't matter. Claw whooped me regardless, but I would have won this week if I started Slaton for Houston, but who in their right mind would have done that?

If approved, I'm overpaying for Favre with Reggie Wayne, but I'm worried about Roger's self-diagnosed separated shoulder. The official word on it comes out today or tomorrow.

The way I drafted gave me depth. I've used that depth to trade for help at wide receiver. But as you know, it's all about making the playoffs then getting lucky in the playoffs.

Shit, we must've had a stat correction or something.  Now it is showing a lose.

I'm on a mini "owning streak" of claw. I beat him in the final four in our baseball tourney, and picked up the comeback victory in our football matchup this week. Thank to Moss' big night, I overcame a 12 or so point defecit.

But none of you are in first place as of this moment. Who would have ever thought the Bears' offense would benefit anyone?

Well I stopped my 3 game skid but defeating my arch-nemesis Count Grog.

Now I get the Clawmaster.  Geez.  The last 3 weeks it has been Brodie (tied for first), Grog (tied for the most points), and Claw (tied for first).  I guess when your the Champ, you gotta walk that aisle.

Just remember I am your Champion

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I'm unleashing Tyler Thigpen on the league. Beware.

That worked out pretty damn well for ya.

Alright, as I see it now, Claw, me, Grog and Brodie make up the Top 4.  Look familiar?

Boys all we gotta do is take care of business for the next couple of weeks and knock these upstarts down, to make sure we have a good old fashioned playoff with all 4 of us in there.  I don't think we've had that but in the past 4 years some combination of 3 of us have been in there I think.

I'll do my best to knock off Oorang Indians.  (who is that btw?)

I have the Oorang Indians. You should be able to get me this week.

My running back situation is a mess. I am so desperate, I'm giving Ricky Williams a go.

Well I made the stupidest move in FFL this year by sitting Michael Turner.  He has faded against decent D's this year.  Not today.

Shit.  Now I have a virtual tie that is going to be a nail bitter.  Dammit.

Well, at least I'm closing out with a big win over Iron Mike Dull, who was a tough competitor in last year's OSW Late League. Not sure if he was still actively managing his team, though, but at least a proper roster was set.

Looks like a three way tie for first with Q ahead in the tiebreaker of total points. This upcoming week will determine first round byes. Thigpen got benched last week in favor of Gus the Vikings QB. Gus earns the start again this upcoming week as the Vikes play Detroit.

My team (Iron Mike Dull) sucks.  I pretty much gave up on them a few weeks ago when it was apparent I couldn't win anything.  I still set rosters, but I know I'll lose.  It's the ultimate sad sack team.  To top it off, nobody would trade with me, even when I offered up Drew Brees or Matt Cassel for a tackling dummy.

Come to think of it, after yesterday's debacle, if I got a tackling dummy for Matt Cassel, I would've made out.

Oh well...see you next year, when I'll have regrouped.

Shit, I forgot your team was IMD. That's why I try to keep "Naitch" somewhere in the title. I could've been talking way more shit.

I benched Gus for Eli last night. Probably will go with Schaub the rest of the way. Should have played Matt today.

Well shit, I guess I can't win it all every year.  Congrats to Brodie, who's in the Finals.  It is a very close one between Claw and Oorang....coming down to TO v.s Whitten.

Die, TO, die.

If I'm figuring correctly, I'm down by three going in and four at the moment. Witten has to score a TD and TO has be shut down the rest of the night.

Yahoo is showing us as tied this morning. I must have missed two points somewhere.

The first tiebreaker is most touchdowns scored by starting roster.

If we really are tied, Kyle Orton might have just defeated you. My roster scored four touchdowns and I think yours had three.

Good god, I survived a shoot out in one of my other leagues. Third place game: 147-128. Highest scoring battle that I can remember being in. Thank you DeAngelo Williams.
