First of all, the show in Santa Rosa was on Friday the 27th. Second of all, it was Nomellini & Torres vs Al Warsaw & Fred Atkins. Results from the Sunday March 1, 1953 Santa Rosa Press Democrat. Friday's show, the 27th. At the Sonoma County Fairgrounds Pavillion Ramon Cernandes defeats Pete Peterson [2-1] Nomellini & Torres defeats Warsaw & Atkins in 2 straight falls to gain a title shot against the Sharpes next week (March 6th). "Hutton had taken the a fall and seemed confident of a second one until he and Thesz were both counted out, Thesz on a 30 count inside the ring and Hutton with a 10 count.

JULY 1, 1954 WORK ON GYM BRINGS RECESS TO WRESTLING "For the first time in four years, wrestling will take a brief summer vacation" Promoter Francis A McDonough Jr, of the Allen Athletic Club said his regular Tuesday night shows will be suspended until the last week of July or the first week of August while the Columbia Gym is being renovated" 07/03/54 Louisville, KY Lou Thesz draw Johnny Valentine This did not happen. In the July 4, 1954 Louisville Courier Journal, there is a small story about "Thesz signed to wrestle here August 7th". No mention of him facing Johnny Valentine the night before. There was a show in Louisville on Tuesday June 29th, which had Bill Longson defeating Lu Kim in the main event. Preview in newspaper on June 29th... "Promoter McDonough plans to have the winner (of Longson-Kim), or possibly Gorgeous George or Baron Leone face Lou Thesz, the last week of July or the first week of August" Valentine was wrestling in Galveston TX on July 1st, Houston on the 2nd, Fort Worth on the 5th and Dallas on the 6th. Thesz did not wrestle in Louisville on August 7th either.
