I remember in '97 or so talking to my Grandpa about the miracle of email.

My parents still yell on the phone when they make long distance phone calls as if phone reception hasn't improved in past 30+ years

And he probably asked you how much it cost to send it. Seriously.

Also finally just got a real "smartphone" and am blown away what it can do.

Ditto. I had my Blackberry (which I loved, best actual phone I ever owned) up until 2 months ago and I broke down and got an iPhone. With this phone I can be sitting in a movie theater (for example), get an email about one of our customers who's lost their market card and within 2 minutes I can log into our system and switch their balance and information immediately to their new card, all on my phone..

Yep. I never understood why everybody loved them until I got one last year. I haven't been on a desktop or labtop computer in about 3 months due to smartphones. Just don't need to when you can access everything from everywhere anytime. Plus there is some awesome apps which make life so much easier at times.

I do wish battery power technology advanced like other technology... I thought it was bad when my walkman ate through 2-4 batteries a week back in the day, now, my laptop and phone don't last but hours under use before they need a recharge.

Also, I am not sure how I feel about the new Google glasses that should be coming out... people will be wrecking cars even more than they are now by texting, and having a screen that close to your eye can't be good for your vision

Whatever it was, it's closed to applicants. I can see the glasses on the chick in the pic, though, so I get the general idea, I think.

I have a feeling we're going to see an entire generation looking like Carl Reiner in "The Jerk" after the OptiGrab lawsuit.
