By "buried" I don't mean that they lost to Triple H and because of this were "buried"

I mean they lost when they shouldn't have lost to Triple H and their standing in the view of the fans and their place on the card needed to be rebuilt.

Have at it.

Really? The Spirit Squad was over enough to be buried or had enough potential?

Ken Doane did. He could have been a star. Cena killed him though. Buried him backstage. Kid could have been the biggest star in the business.

The former tag team champions being packed up in a box and literally shipped back to OVW. I think that counts as a burial.

Couldn't disagree more. It's not like we're talking about Demolition or The Nasty Boys here. The Spirit Squad was nothing more than comedic fodder.

Eugene. Started getting-over as Eric Bischoff's idiot nephew that was a wrestling 'savant' after WM XX. At Summerslam, HHH 'killed' him dead.

I thought his push ended after they found him passed out from drugs backstage at RAW ?

I know Cena burned him backstage, but wasn't Ken Doane a total dick?  I mean, something else was up there, because WWE would have had him back by now if he was a good kid.  I mean, his dad had a great relationship with WWE for what, 20 years?  I think that if I remember correctly, at 19, getting to the big leagues in WWE went straight to his head because there was more to it than Cena.  Maybe it was the whole Mickie James thing.

And it took him how long to shake that stigma of the Spirit Squad and be considered a main eventer by the fans?

I think there was a push for him to be a top guy late in 2011. That's nearly five years later.
