On August 1, 2004, Ken Timbs died at age 53. Ken Timbs and Bob Moniz brought many of us together. Rest In Peace Ken.

Remembering the Old School Wrestling website days before Juanita and a few others became drunk with power.

The whole concept of getting drunk with power on a wrestling website baffles me.

I wasn't around back then. I was on sports/NFL message boards. I do not know the whole backstory, but I've seen this enough times to know that there are a lot of memories relating to Ken Timbs. RIP to what I guess I would call a "pioneer" of the wrestling message boards.

I remember seeing Ken lose to Terry Kay at MLG back in 1983 sometime.

Ken was a a rare breed when it came to ex-workers who wanted to participate with wrestling fans online. He wasn't a complete fucking douche. He treated people with the same respect he wished to be treated with.

I have fond memories of him.

One helluva nice guy both online and in person, I will never forget meeting him when he  put on a show in my old hometown, and how much attention he gave to my son, who was at his first ever wrestling matches, the man was one of the really good guys in life.

That's crazy it's been that long since he passed and the heyday of OSW.

Anyone heard from or of Juanita and Bodi in the last little while?

What's the chances they "lurk" here at S&W?

I joined OSW 4 days after Ken had passed.  It has always been a major regret that I never had the opportunity to interact with the man.  One of the few people of whom I have never heard a bad thing said.  R.I.P.

Wasn't around when this was originally posted, but Ken was a great guy and it's hard to believe it's been 9 years since his passing.  To this day, Ken is still pretty much the only worker that I've spoken to on these boards who wasn't an asshole.  Very nice guy and I miss interacting with him on the boards and in PM.  R.I.P.
