I realize this is probably something that no one else has given any thought to but I have always loved clippings so much that I have a lot.Anyone have a particular favorite style of clippings/

For instance  the Charlotte,Greensboro ads from 78 on seemed to stay in teh same style. Changing the font at the top at the smae time.

In the 80s, the Charleston and Columbia ads were always in the same style.

The most common seems to the be the style used by the Raleigh,Richmind,Norfolk and I know Im missing some other places. These seemed to always be my favorite.

The Greenville and Spartanburg ads always seemed pretty similar as well.

The only one that I never saw anywhere else were the Asheville ads from the mid 70s on. I always thought those were very very cool.

Just curious if anyone else noticed, cared  or had any favorites.

Or if Im just babbling to the wind cause I have too much time on my hands to think of such lol

I realize this post would be much more informative with actualy pics of the clippings in question but im not yet savvy enough to know how to post pics in here

I like match result clippings that are very detailed. Match times, fall listings, finishers used. Stuff like that.

I love the ones where you just see the wrestlers head. Like 5 or 6 decapitated giants staring at you from the morning paper. It would scare the shit out of me when I was a kid.

always liked ones that were the mini poster version, Atlantic grand Prix and Big Bear here used that , the posters that they put up in the store windows were scaled down into an ad for the papers

others that come to mind
Philadelphia Spectrum ads circa 77-80 , with the action photo as most of the ad
Detroit Cobo shows 70's , mini poster type also, Cincinnati and other towns were similiar
Montreal circa 84-85 Super Gala shows
the huge Cleveland ads
