Use this thread to keep us abreast of what you've been watching for fun recently.  Maybe a random youtube match or something classic....

Shout out some good shows/matches/angles/promos or warn us away from WRESTLECRAP!

:)

I'm on a quest to watch every episode of the Monday Night Wars with a modern perspective. Please join me over the next few weeks...years as I travel down the road that was the high light of many of our fandoms.

I just started the 1987 season Crockett/JCP. It's friggin excellent. The Horseman are on top, Barry Windham just came in to challenge Flair and Lex Luger was just introduced...gonna get even more interesting now. I totally missed this promotion the first time around so it's all new to me:D

I enjoy these kind of threads.
I'm working on a Prime Time Wrestling season set from 1987.  Lots of Gorilla and Bobby of course.  Fun to watch the buildup to Mania 3.  I'm up to mid July now, so things are a bit slow with a little too much Young Stallions and Shadows, but it is still good stuff.
I picked up the Survior Series Anthology Vol 1 from Shopzone for 7.99 last week.  Watched the first half of Survivor Series 88 last night.   The tag match had some great spots that I had forgotten about (Tully tagging in and immediately tagging out when he saw the Barbarian).  Dynamite and Jacques Rougeau were in the ring together, which I thought was supposed to have been a concern based on all of the lockerroom drama.

I haven't watched anything recently. I watched some 1981 GCW on the youtubes a few weeks back.

Haven't watched any old wrestling in ages, other than some random YouTube videos of some old Thesz and O'Conner matches.  Mainly catching up on ROH DVDs, I'm up to Adam Cole winning the title.

I started watching 1989 NWA Saturday Night show recently, and thus far has been excellent. We didn't have cable in 1989 so other than what I've seen from PPV's this is brand new to me. Eddie Gilbert just brought Ricky Steamboat in as his surprise partner and pinned Flair in his return to the NWA. Even the squash matches have been fun, and I'm gaining an appreciation for how good Gilbert was; up until now I never really saw why people thought he was so good.

I have been watching the Crockett Cup tag tournaments that someone posted on YouTube. It was one of the events that I wished would have been available on PPV in my area.

I'm about 15 minutes into Rikidozan vs. Freddie Blassie from the Olympic, 1962.   Bout runs just under 40 minutes.  Fred just went into vampire mode after dropping the first fall.  Its simplicity is refreshing and aside from the video timestamp at the top, it's a fun way to invest in watching wrestlers I never got to see.  Blassie taking bumps of any kind is a sight since he looked so brittle in his managing days.

Been looking through parts of my Mad Dog Vachon set lately. Also watching a few WWF cards from the 80's here and there.

I also have a little DVD player on my desk at work (hidden out of everyone else's sightlines of course) and I have been watching the 1981 season of Championship Wrestling Memphis during my more tedious tasks - Jimmy Hart was awesome at this time - he just throws himself into the ring time after time and takes enormous bumps - I've also come to the conclusion that Lance Russell  and Dave Brown are the best announcing team ever
