Good shit.

Do you mean Vladamir, the super fan?

Yeah Vladmir was the one he pulled.

If this is the guy I'm thinking of (glasses and closely cropped hair) then during the Attitude Era we were at an MSG show and a friend of mine saw him and went up to him and asked if he had connections in WWE.  He said no, he just went to a lot of shows and bought his own tickets.  By the late '90s, he was around much less though.  He was everyone from the mid-'80s to early-'90s.

He was seen at both WWF and WCW shows. I remember video of him being at the WCW show where Flair won back the title from sting. I think this is a still from it

LOL, yeah, sorry.  Vladimir is who I meant.  Not sure where the hell "Igor" came from....ah, both are stereotypical Russian names :)

Dude is at every MSG show I've re-watched in the mid 80s, and I remember him on all the PPVs in the 90s.

http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/from-the-wwe-network-the-ken-patera-story/

Ken Patera's return after serving several years locked away in prison is the focus of "The Ken Patera Story".
- We open with a quick look at why Patera was brought in as a babyface instead of his more natural heel persona being utilized.
- Patera comes across as a whiner as he and Bobby Heenan debate one another over their broken relationship.
- Heenan takes a nasty bump that should be made into a gif file ASAP.
- Patera tries to move up the ranks of the WWF but finds himself bogged down in subpar matches with the Honky Tonk Man and Hercules.
- The Heenan Family takes great joy in berating and beating Patera down.
- We get a taste of Hulkamania as he joins Patera in tag team action against the Brain's henchmen.

Finished the November '86 MSG show.

I won't bore you with match by match rundown. Some of the highlights of this rather lackluster show:

Hogan/Piper team against Orndorff/Race. This is on the heels of the setup last month. Piper and Hogan appear to begin to trust each other with their tags, although they slap the shit out of each other's hands and stare each other down when they do it. Piper gets the pin on Race and then does the "F U" hand signal to Hogan and leaves him there to get beat up by the Heenan Family. Kind of a nice touch that Piper didn't go full-fledged pussy babyface at the start.

Kamala stretchers George Steele out after a top rope splash. Albano shows up later bombed out of his mind to seemingly break script and say Steele escaped the ambulance and is running around Central Park. Gorilla on commentary tells Albano he's "done" and to "go back to the lockerroom".

Hillbilly Jim beats Muraco by DQ when Fuji comes in and strips Hillbilly's overalls off. This leads to Hillbilly challenging Fuji to a "Tuxedo Match" next month. This entire thing comes off as homo.

Kamala's win sets him up for a shot at the title against Hogan in December.

Oh yeah- there was a midget tag match that may have been the most entertaining thing on the card. Karate Kid and Pepe Gomez beat Littlebrook and Tokyo. Referee Gilberto (can't remember his last name) was of course a part of all the hijinx. Gorilla: "I love it!"

I think the Steele match is part of a "Best of the WWF" series as Kamala is shown beating Steele, Steamboat and maybe once more guy, with the tape then ending with Hogan beating Kamala.

WOOF!! Brutus Beefcake is highlighted in a stinker of a tape as we see Beefcake in epic matches with Dino Bravo, Jimmy Jack Funk, Johnny Valiant, Danny Davis and the Honky Tonk Man.  Ted Dibiase and Greg Valentine try to drag something watchable out of Brother Bruti. The surprise gem on the tape turns out to be Beefcake battling Hulk Hogan, not due to their catch as catch can classic grappling, but because of an insanely electric crowd!

The tuxedo matches with Fuji against either Hillbilly Jim or George Steele, depending on the city, went around the circuit in the fall of 1986.

I am deep into JCP, now early 1988. Great stuff. I just saw the Barry Windham turn and I have to be honest - Windham is pretty bad during this - they put a skinny-tie 80s suit on him and gave him some sunglasses and now he sneers and trash talks Dusty Rhodes and Lex Luger - so far at least Windham is a LAME horseman and TERRIBLE on the mic - yeesh

I finally starting putting my ROH app to use and started with the Global Wars tour from 2017. A lot of bullet club on these and for the most part I enjoy what they do. The 2, 4, 10 boot thing is funny, the mixing and matching of the wrestlers and defending of the 6 man titles under bullet club rules has been enjoyable as well.

Mark Broscoes elbow dislocation looked brutal once it became realized.

War Machine vs KES was pretty awesome as was the 6 man from the first night with Suzuki and Briscoe included.

Silas comes across really good

Punishment Martinez looks cool so far

http://culturecrossfire.com/wrestling/from-the-wwe-network-the-lost-awa-team-challenge-series-pilot/

I attempted to watch this hot mess that was the AWA Team Challenge Series pilot and add some humorous commentary to the whole debacle!

- Who knew DX could claim to be partially to blame for this!?!
- I debate if Paul Diamond or his doppelganger in the music world have fallen further since this taping.
- Sgt. Slaughter's physical fitness may not stop his ambitions to sell out a stadium
- Botched promos, bad production values, Verne's dog, Bischoff's coif...so much to digest!
- Casual racism from the music department
- Diamond foreshadows his space man gimmick years before he used it
- 3 future world champs were involved in this mess!

Catching up on NXT before Saturday's Takeover.

Dunn vs Ricochet was a awesome match.

Finished up the NXT before tonight Takeover.

Ricochet, Pete Dunne & The War Raiders vs Undisputed ERA feud really has a JCP feel to it with them fighting all around the building and outside.

Really looking forward to tonight WarGames Match.
