24-3 Eagles at the half. Looks like Philly vs Dallas and Chicago vs GB for divisions next week.

Cutler looks like shit tonight. Do they chance him again next week vs GB or do they put in McCown?

The whole team looked like shit. Cutler wasn't sharp. Neither was Forte, the offensive line, Hester. the fucking punter and of course the entire defense.

What's funny is that Cutler became the Bears all time leader in yards passed going ahead of Sid Luckman. Now that's a sad state of affairs when you have a QB who is in his 5th season and has already missed 12 games during that time, and he's now your leading QB of all time.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will miss the rest of the season due to a back injury, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Cowboys (8-7) host the Philadelphia Eagles (9-6) on Sunday with the winner capturing the NFC East title. Kyle Orton likely will now get the start against the Eagles.

Romo said Sunday he would undergo an MRI on his back Monday, but he didn't believe it would jeopardize his availability for the game against Philadelphia.

Romo said his back, which was sore coming into Sunday's victory over the Washington Redskins, troubled him after a hit in the first half.

"That triggered it a little bit," Romo said Sunday. "Whatever the kid did on that one play, it really sent something that didn't feel comfortable.

"But it's in a completely different spot than the back stuff I had last year, so that's a good sign."

Romo had surgery in April to remove a cyst from his back and did not take a snap until the team reached training camp in Oxnard, Calif., in July.

Romo was noticeably limping as he carried out play fakes on running plays. In the fourth quarter, he appeared to be in trouble even more after spinning free from the pocket on a third-down throw to Miles Austin. Romo appeared to kick the back of his leg as he escaped trouble, but he did not miss a snap.

Romo completed 17 of 27 passes for 226 yards, including the game-winning touchdown to DeMarco Murray on fourth-and-goal from the Washington 10 with 1:08 to play.

Romo has dealt with numerous injuries over the years, including a broken rib in 2011. He hurt his ribs again in last year's season-ending loss to the Redskins.

Von Miller suffers torn ACL
Posted by Michael David Smith on December 23, 2013, 12:43 PM EST

In a devastating piece of injury news for the team that’s favored to reach the Super Bowl out of the AFC, Broncos linebacker Von Miller has been lost for the season with a torn ACL.

Miller left the field during Sunday’s game against the Texans after coming down awkwardly on what appeared to be a fairly routine and ordinary block. Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that testing today showed a torn ACL.

That’s obviously a season-ending injury for Miller, so the Broncos will embark on their playoff run without him. Miller wasn’t as big a part of the Broncos this season as he has been in the past because he was suspended for the first six games of 2013, but he’s still the most talented player on Denver’s defense, and he will be sorely missed in the postseason.

Now if the Broncos are going to win the Super Bowl, they’re going to have to rely even more heavily on Peyton Manning and the offense. An already shaky Denver defense has just been dealt a major blow.

Kenny Vaccaro suffers broken ankle, surgery tomorrow
Posted by Darin Gantt on December 23, 2013, 2:16 PM EST

While MRIs can give teams a glimmer of hope while they wait for results to come in, usually when the air casts and carts come out for a player, it’s a bad sign.

That was the case with Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro, who was hauled off during yesterday’s loss to the Panthers.

Saints coach Sean Payton just confirmed to reporters that Vaccaro suffered a broken ankle, and would have surgery tomorrow to repair what appeared to be a clean break.

Vaccaro was caught in the bottom of a pile, and his left ankle gave way under the weight of many large people.

That’s a bad break for a Saints defense which sprang a leak late against the Panthers, and might have to go on the road in the playoffs because of it. The Saints need to win to qualify, and would need a Panthers loss to avoid the Wild Card.

Vaccaro has been one of the key parts of a turnaround from worst-defense-ever to fairly respectable, and won’t be easily replaced this time of year.

I thought that if Philly won today but lost next week they could still make the Playoffs if a few other teams lost in week 17. I guess I was wrong so it should make for an interesting game next Sunday. I'm hoping that one of the FOX stations I get end up showing the game because right now KCPQ ( FOX SEATTLE ) has the Green Bay vs Chicago game on their schedule and WUHF ( FOX Rochester ) has the Washington vs NY Giants game on their schedule. :?

NBC will grab that game.

You were right claw - the Cowboys vs Philadelphia game is now the NBC Sunday night game.

Now? It has been since last Sunday, late afternoon. With Romo probably out, I bet NBC wish they hadn't have flexed it out.

You could make a case for the Chicago-Green Bay game is being the "best" on the card but you're in the same boat (is Rodgers in or out)
