While Clawmaster tries to hold onto his tenuous lead in the Yahoo-hosted Pick Em Pool we'll do one here just for the playoffs.

We'll send out a 24-7 DVD to the winner of the pool after the Super Bowl.

Works like so. Picks gotta be in before the games are played (let's call Saturday 4 PM EST the benchmark cutoff time)

You offer two selections on each game. Straightup winner and pointspread winner.
You get one point for each correct selection.

The Pro Bowl will not be part of the competition.

Most points at the end wins. Ties will be broken by guessing the Super teams score but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Picks will be made right here and in this thread.

Kansas City at Indianapolis (2.5)
New Orleans at Philadelphia (2.5)
San Diego at Cincinnati (7)
San Francisco (2.5) at Green Bay

So funny. I picked 13 games right last week. Beej only picked 4 correctly. I had no idea I even took the lead from Beej until he posted it in this thread.

Dumb question -if you pick the underdog, its understood that the cover is a moot point right? Or am I totally wrong on this?

If the Chargers beat the Broncos, they've automatically covered the 10 point spread.

The Chargers are getting 10 so if you take Denver, they have to win by atleast 11 (27-14 for example).

Correct. If you pick an underdog to win straightup I will get that is the pick to cover the spread also

2 game lead with 3 games to go. If I wasn't a Cubs fan, I'd be confident.

You should be confident. I have no clue which way to go on the AFC title game.

Two of your picks didn't cover. Seattle "pushed" and Denver didn't cover the divisional round.

We are down to Lobo and Blazer.

Lobo with 11 points and Blazer with 10 points.

Both Lobo and Blazer need to make their picks bith straightup and vs the spread AND give me their predicted final score of the game.

The "final score" that is closest if the pool ends in a tie, will determine the winner.

I will post a spread later this week right now it is bouncing all over with Seattle opening at -1 and now Denver is favored -2

I'll post a consensus point spread probably Thursday/Friday

Your picks should be

SU winner
ATS winner
Predicted Score (example:Team A 21 Team B 17)

It is possible for Lobo to win (clinch) before the game is even played
