He's still a great QB. He sucked ass tonight but he did win one Super Bowl with The Colts. He broke Tom Brady's passing records this season. Brady is the only current QB I might put ahead of Manning. I'm still up in the air on that one. I'd take Manning over Favre, Elway, Bradshaw, Marino and everybody else not named Montana.

After tonight that's simply insane.  He's still easily a top 15 QB all-time, arguably top 10, he no longer sniffs top 5.

How is he not better than Favre and Elway who regularly had playoff games like this and worse? His numbers are better across the board than Marino and he's already won a title.

He's way better than Marino, don't know how anyone can debate that. When it comes to the playoffs out of those guys I'm taking Elway and Favre over him. Favre may have thrown some crazy interceptions but he never played scared in big games, that's Manning's problem, he over-thinks it in big games and plays not to lose instead of playing to win like he does in the regular season. That's why his brother is so much better than him in big games, nothing fazes him..

I would take Marino over Manning easily.  Better passer.

The guy cannot throw the deep ball. History has shown that he is easily rattled.   Manning has not only been rattled in SBs....in the playoffs and conference games he has shown how easily he can be taken out of his game.  He can do his Omaha audibles and such, but that is part of the fake imagery.

In my opinion, it is not even close. Brady sits at No. 1 for current QBs and the rest are debatable.   But, between Manning and Brady....not even close.

As for all-time QBs, you got have the ability to win big games....he is not even near the TOP 10 in this category.

He would not be considered such a fraud if the media hype did not follow him around.

He's easily a top 10 QB all time. Last night indeed hurt his legacy, if he had won last night, owning all the records he does, 5 time MVP and taking 2 different organizations to SB titles, he'd have been top 3 easily. As it stand now he's still top 10, HE WON ONE. All I've heard for 30 years about Marino is "Well, he's great, but he never won a SB, win a SB and then get back to me", well, Manning won one, so let's stop with the can't win any big games. He can't win them consistently, but he DID win one, so stop with the "He's not a top 10 QB" talk, it makes you look foolish.

Manning has been the golden child since coming out of Tennessee.  I truthfully would not take this guy in my Top 10 if I were putting a team together.  Eli won two SBs is he better than Peyton?  Stats and SB victories cannot be used as lone benchmarks to grade a QB.  There are flaws with both standards.

Falling into the pathetic Manning hype is foolishness and makes to you look like a child chasing after pedo clown with a handful of balloons.

Manning is a fraudulent product of stat-geeks, nothing more and nothing less.   He is not a terrible QB but he sure in the hell is not one of the best in my opinion.

Richard Sherman with an anti-rant.  He tweeted about Manning after the game, "Peyton is the classiest person/player I have ever met! Thank you for being a great competitor and person"

I wonder how much the bookies won

Game opens at Seattle -1, bet to Denver -2 1/2, they never move the line to 3 (that would have generated Seattle bets) and just let everyone take Denver at -less than a field goal

Mark Cuban won it.  He said it was a million to one and he won $20 million.  Not sure how legit that is, but that's what he tweeted and it seemed real.

He didn't, he was just working everyone.

Obviously this topic has been done a billion times but I do not see how anyone puts anyone over Montana (well except for Breesus but that is another story).

I'd probably have to go Brady after him.

Then you have Elways, Favres, Bradshaws, Staubachs, Youngs, etc. Peyton is in that conversation but his playoff and SB record really do drag him down.

I have never watched enough pre-late 70's to rank those guys save Johnny U who is in there somewhere.

Foolish is putting it mildly.

Was the game plan by the Bronoco's offense poor?  Yeah, I can see that.  Dinking and dunking wasn't going to work.  Why? Because that secondary is elite.  They were covering the deep routes, and making well executed tackles on all of the receptions that they did give up.   Did you see that O-line giving up pressure CONSTANTLY?  Orlando Franklin played about as poorly as anyone could play.  And Seattle was smart, they pretty much had one DT and 3 rushing DE's for 90% of all of the plays and there was nothing that o-line could do to stop them.  And since the routes were covered, the offense was taken out.

How about giving credit to Seattle for simply outplaying Denver?  Why does it have to be that Manning is a fraud?  What kind of archaic thinking is that?  The best TEAM won as a whole and the other TEAM lost as a whole.

Yesterday was the Seahawks Super Bowl parade in downtown Seattle. It was estimated that over 750,000 people attended. All I can say is it was agreat eexperience. I really don't have anything to compare it with. It's been a long time coming and to describe how the city has reacted to the win is hard to explain. You can't walk 10 feet without seeing something related to the Seahawks. I have never seen so much sports merchandise anywhere, even on tv.

I've heard their merch sales set some kind of record, and I would not doubt it. I see it everywhere, just crazy.
