Is the WWE Network available for ROKU yet? I have been checking the ROKU Channel Store but haven't found it listed.  I have an older ROKU so I am wondering if:

a) my ROKU player may need to be upgraded to get access to the WWE Network

or

b) the WWE Network channel hasn't been released yet

You won't be able to find it until Feb. 24 anywhere.  But hopefully it'll be on Roku 1 because that's what I just got.  They say everywhere it's available on "Roku devices" so that means to me all of them.

They've been advertising it will be on ROKU since the initial press conference, so as srossi said, I'd imagine it'll work on any of them. I doubt there will be much in the way of knowing for sure until the day of the launch however....

I'm wondering if I'm gonna get to see the shit.

My two desired options are

A. My android tablet, for which the WWE app is unavailable. New tablet, running the most current Jellybean OS.

B. Sony Entertainment Network, which is on my blu-ray player. No WWE app there yet

I have an LG blu-ray/home entertainment system and bought the Roku because I never heard anything about it being available on that type of platform.

The WWE Network has been added to Roku and Playstations 3 and 4, so if you want to add the channel to your devices now, you will be able to immediately.

Of course, you will have to wait until Monday morning to subscribe to the channel and look at content, but you will be able to add it to your devices as of this moment.

No word on other devices yet, but I am sure that will happen over course of the weekend.

I just checked the Roku web site and they aren't showing the WWE Network app yet. Where did you find it?

It wasn't coming up when I searched for it but if you click on channels it is there.

I have an older Roku device and it isn't showing up but on my 2 Roku 2 devices it is there.

We've heard from a lot of readers that own older Roku devices that the WWE Network isn't available for them to add as a channel on Roku yet, while it is available on the more modern devices. WWE's promotional video featuring The Bellas did note that the older Rokus (which are compatible with analog TVs) would carry the Network. We've reached out to WWE's PR side to see if we can get a clarification since there is not one on the Network's FAQ page. For those of you who wrote us, stay tuned.

I bought a Roku 1 last week and just downloaded the WWE Network.  The only thing that comes up right now is that you have to wait until 9:00 AM on Monday to subscribe.  But everyone should have it available for download by then.

As I noted earlier, we've received a lot of email from readers with older Roku devices noting that the WWE Network channel was not appearing on the Channel store, therefore they could not add it to stream via their device.

Charlie Gregg sent the following....I read your post regarding reader feedback of the WWE Network not being available on older Roku devices. The Network was not showing on my Roku device either. Last night, I went on the Roku website and used my email and password to log in to my account on their site. I searched for WWE Network and was given the option to add channel to my device. I just checked and the WWE Network is now showing as one of my channels. So, this is probably what those who don't have it showing up on their device will have to do.

What's the timeframe on Smart TV's? I have a Vizio Smart TV that carries most of the major apps and was figuring at some point they'd look to carry this as well.

n speaking with a Roku representative, I was told that older Roku devices will not be carrying the WWE Network.

According to the rep I spoke with, the only Roku devices which will be "compatible" with the WWE Network are the Roku LT, Roku 1, Roku 2 and Roku 3. I am told that only players with Roku software versions 5.3 or greater can add the WWE Network.

If you own an older device you will not be able to stream the Network. What is odd about this is that WWE specifically mentioned "older Roku devices" would be able to stream the Network in the video they produced with the Bellas.

Our old friend Chris Lisanti reached out and noted that the WWE Network is available on his Roku XD, so it appears some older devices ARE supporting the Network, but based on what Roku has told me, not all will be - so if you have an older device, you may want to check for yourself, as you may need to upgrade if you want the Network when it launches Monday.

We've reached out to WWE. When we hear back, we'll update.

So a Roku 1 made this year is that much different than a Roku 1 made 3 years ago.  Odd that this wouldn't be compatible and Roku is basically forcing people to buy a new device.  That's ridiculous.  They have automatic software updates, find a way to make it work.

I went to the Channel Store online and added the WWE Network, but it is not appearing in my list of channels on the device. Do I need to wait until Monday for it to display? Or is it currently displaying for others?

Edit: It looks like I might have to upgrade my ROKU player after all if the previous post about needing software version 5.1 is true - my ROKU has software version 3.1 and no updates are available for it. Considering a new ROKU is less than $100, is supposedly faster (I was having buffering issues when trying to watch MLB.tv last season), and gives me access to more channels (my current ROKU can't get the PBS channel), I am not too bummed about buying a new one.
