In retrospect, it kind of reminded me of the old TNT show, where the talent had freedom to say what they wanted in a different environment.

I guess Vince wants everything scripted.

WWE Network has added Boston Garden cards from 1986 to the streaming service. January 11th, February 8th, May 24th, June 27th, September 6th and October 4th events are all available to stream in the Vault VOD area, so it looks like we may be getting another batch of Old-School house shows for part of next month's Classic content drop.

Now 1986 is 'old school'. Let me chew on that for awhile.

It is 31 years ago. Like when FNN had 50s wrestling. Let that sink in.

If Madonna and Whitney Houston can get constant airplay on my "Golden Oldies" station now, then certainly 1986 wrestling can be considered old school.

FNN had some other decent shit too, I remember watching something with Samoan Kokina who turned out to be Yokozuna a few years later.  I also remember that was my first exposure to Dr Tom Prichard and Nightmare Danny Davis.  FNN had enough regional wrestling in an era where there was almost none left and it was must-watch for me on the weekend nights I was not out.

The WWE Network has begun uploading episodes of World Class Championship Wrestling from 1982 and 1983.

I *think* in 1988 FNN was running Memphis.  I recall seeing a young Scott Steiner on there, if that's the channel I'm thinking of.  I think they also had a cool show called Boardwalk Baseball...kind of a trivia game show about baseball.

I just started the 12/86 show with Hogan vs. Kamala, it's only 56 minutes long.
(Also, the only other old arena show I've watched so far was 10/84 MSG with Hogan vs Studd and Slaughter vs Volkoff and it was complete. )

pwinsider:

On the most recent E & C Pod of Awesomeness, Edge and Christian confirmed that a new season of "E & C Show that Reeks of Awesomeness" is probably not going to happen because it is likely too expensive for the WWE Network and given they are doing cutbacks. They had a whole second season written out and were in the middle of filming. Edge and Christian admitted they were not sure if they themselves want to continue doing it due to other work conflicts they currently have, but noted that down the line, you never know. They left it in the "To be Determined" status.

The planned R-Truth game show, which was set to go forward as a series on the WWE Network after a pilot was filmed a few months back, has also been suspended from going forward.

The E&C show was the best thing they had done that wasn't a straight wrestling show or documentary. The R-Truth game show should have been knocked back when it was first suggested.

I bet they wish they hadn't wasted so much money on the crap animated programs they produced. I have a feeling they thought they could sell them to TV networks.

I went to finish the 12/86 Boston show with Hogan vs Kamala, instead of 56 minutes it's now 2 hours 8 minutes long.

They have removed every instance of "The Stripper" as Rick Rude's music, which kind of kills his gimmick a little. The music is still on the Network on other occasions. It's used in the Terri-Kat feud at least once, and it was Pat Patterson entrance music in the Hardcore Evening Gown Match. I'm guessing this is just an oversight.
