The September 24, 1964 results from Amarillo are wrong, though. There was no wrestling in Amarillo that day. Dory Funk, Jr. wrestled in Colorado Springs that night.

The wrestlingdata site has that card in Amarillo on September 24, 1964 but in searching Amarillo newspapers on Ancestry.com I agree with Kriss that there was no card that night.

It's funny to see when they list Dory and Terry being born in Hammond, IN. I always think of Texas of course. Hammond, IN isn't anything close to Texas.

I always see the Funks having their birthplace listed as Amarillo. If you look at my Dory Funk, Sr. record book, you'll clearly see that both Funk brothers were born long before Funk first arrived in Texas, let alone when he first arrived in Amarillo.
