We're back and ready to 'play ball' this time around.

The way this all works is it works just like the football version of the same game. You come here , you find the current "Survivor" thread and you tell us what team will not lose today [they must win] If you are right, you continue onward. If your team loses you sit out until the next "new series" [thread] begins.

An individual team can be picked by multiple players however once you have picked a team you cannot go back to them and take them again until the next new series [thread] is started.

Of course picks have to be in before the team/game you select begins. Winner gets a 24-7 DVD of their choosing from Hammetime.

Changing my pick to Detroit. Looks like a possible rain-out in Philly.

How are we going to deal with rainouts? Are you eliminated if your pick gets rained out?

I would guess yes. But if you picked an East Coast game that gets rained out you should still have time to switch your pick to a game on the West Coast. Which reminds me - somebody here needs to switch their pick for tonight's games due to a rainout.

If we end up being allowed to switch picks when a rainout occurs, I'll switch my pick today to Toronto.

If not, no biggie, we'll have clarification for next time.

If your game is rained out and you never signed back on to get another pick in before another game started you are eliminated. Your pick must WIN for you to advance.

I'm glad you figured out that your original game was PPD. I would have told you directly but frankly I'm still bitter that you did so well with your LMSH picks.

Generally, west coast games are safe from rainouts.  Not always, but generally, so this is a good rule.

Right, but that's only Seattle on the 10:30/10:35 Eastern Time starts.  I'm talking Oakland, SF, SD, LAA, LAD generally never get rained out, although I think it happened to Oakland earlier this year.  Chavez Ravine never gets rain.  And you have Arizona w/ the dome too...but that's usually an hour ahead on Mountain Time.

I'm just saying if you have an east coast or  midwest game that gets rained out and come here late, you might have a chance to pick a west coast game.

However, another way to look at it...usually you don't find out about a rainout until after the game has started and there has been a bit of a delay.  If we're talking evening games, the west coast games should be well under way by the time the east coast game is rained out.

This puts an interesting twist on the game.

And the Angels tie it up.

'Late' games that go extra innings should count as a loss IMO

I find it funny that you guys keep forgetting that I ( a proud Canadian ) am the reigning Mr. NBA on this board. Yeah - I know that we only went 3 rounds but I had better not see an asterisk beside my name when my trophy finally gets here.
