I've been drinking much less soda over the years. I have done it gradually, so it wasn't a cold turkey thing. I never considered myself addicted to it, but it always seemed to go well with certain foods (pizza). I drink water and green tea. Sometimes I'll get the carbonated flavored water drinks if they are on sale. I have to say this....the rare times when I do stop at McDs on the ride home and grab a large Coke Zero, its and unbelievable treat because it tastes so sweet and dare I say "refreshing". Weird. It's like you appreciate soda if you aren't drinking it all the time. Do I feel better though? Not necessarily.

I haven't quit completely, but a few years ago I made a concerted effort to limit my Pepsi intake to only a glass with lunch and a glass with dinner.  Hardly a huge sacrifice, but by switching to water between meals I lost about 20 pounds in a few months and felt like I had more energy.  I've gradually gained most of it back, but I had dropped to about 155 so I felt like I was too skinny at that weight anyway.

I quit soda cold turkey last January. Switched to Propel water and dropped 45 lbs in 6 months. I also changed my diet and started exercising, but the main reason was the soda. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and I was drinking about a six pack per day, minimum

I haven't drank pop (or Soda as some of you call it) in over a year. Am down about 5 lbs and have a fair bit more energy and find I get a lot less anxiety than I used to.

I drink Sprite, 7-Up or Sierra Mist at one meal per week when I go out to eat. That is also the meal where I cheat on my diet. Other than that, it's water with a powerade or gatorade here and then where I run a race.

Since I've swore off caffeine completely, I have felt so much better. My blood pressure went down due to that and the loss of a bunch of weight as I've become more active.

Coming off caffeine soda was a pain. Headaches galore.

Switched from regular to diet sodas a few years back, and dropped some weight in a hurry, due to that and diet change. Most days I have a can with lunch and with dinner (don't like water when eating food).

I stopped drinking regular pop when i was 18 because i was breaking out in pimples. I switched to diet pop for a "healthy" alternative. I quit drinking that close to 10 years ago when I read about aspartame.

Yup, me too.  Water is not substantial enough with a meal.  I still need soda then, or beer or wine, depending on the situation.

Once in a blue moon I will have a diet Dew. (Diet sodas are worst than Reg Sodas they Say) I drink water 99% of the time. Once in a while I drink diet green tea.

I used to drink several cans of regular soda a day, but quit and (not surprisingly) lost weight. I switched to iced tea with stevia.
I feel better, and wish I cut back on the soda a long time ago.

I have not had a soda in several years. Mostly water & juices. There is no such thing as diet soda. Its actually worse for you than regular soda. Pure garbage

Shit load of info on soda but find it yourself since I'm a lazy fuck today. Comes off like scare tactics but its only way to get through to some people

I am 100% addicted to pop (soda, I love it, I guess that really is an american term/phrase?)

I probably have at least two a day, but they are diet, mostly coke zero.  I switched from regular to diet about 7 years ago at the urging of my wife (when were only dating back then).  I dropped 15-20 lbs right away without all the excess sugar.

now back then I justified my pop drinking habbit because I did not drink coffee.  I just started drinking coffee in January of 2014.  I don't even really like coffee, it's taste like crap, but that cafiene in the morning?!???  WOW!  Coffee trumps pop tenfold for the cafiene kick, and I occasionally had a coke in the morning, not often, but I did crave it once and a while.  Now I chug a pot of coffee before work.  I rarely drink coffee after "the morning" getting ready for "the day."
