Has anybody ever tried contacting the WWE about old footage to see if they even acknowledge that it exists?  I tried a few times with different people holding different titles, and I never received a response.  Is this the norm for them?

When WWE 24/7 first started, there was a press release that stated that a guy named Tom Barecca was the VP in charge. So I called the WWE headquarters, went through the automated system, and searched by employee and was able to select Tom. The system put me right through to him. I told him who I was and he said he had about 2 mins to talk.

So I asked him a few questions - one of the questions I asked him was about Maple Leaf Wrestling footage from 1977-1983, you know the stuff that had AWA, WWF and NWA Mid Atlantic all on the same cards. He said that WWE doesn't have the footage for that, but that they were in negotiations with the owner(s) and he had seemed some of the footage and it looked "amazing".

Never seen that footage to this day. Some people on this board speculate that he may have been pulling my leg.

And even if you get the right department they blow off questions like that because of the large amount of marks calling.
