I really like LU, even the vignettes, which have the look of a movie about them.

Indeed.  I'm completely into it now and look forward to every episode.  I even love the backstage skits now.  Such a different and well-produced look, and the acting has gotten better.  The exchange between Konnan and Dario Cueto last week was so good.

Striker got in the line of the year during Pimpinella Escarlata's debut last night.

"If you know your history you know there have been many flamboyant stars with effeminate tendencies - Gorgeous George, Adrian Street, Ricki Starr, The Miz."

Totally deadpan and almost got a legit spit-take from me.

I really enjoyed Striker's commentary in the WWE, and mentioned in many PPV threads on here it appeared to me that the King went out of his way to put him down at any point he could, while all Lawler added at the time was jokes from the 10,001 Greatest Catskills Jokes Book, and I think that was why Striker eventually lost his role ... I think he is doing a great job on this show also.

I think TNA should make a play for him soon and team him and Josh Matthews for commentary... while it may sound like a WWE-lite version of Smackdown, manytimes Smackdown was actually the best wrassling show on TV in a week.

(I also think the WWE adding Jonathon Coachman as a 3rd man on commentary killed Joey Styles's announcing, but that is for another thread)

I agree with all of that and might I add that after a couple weeks of growing pains, he's working great with Vampiro now and they have hit their stride together. Vamp gets more comfortable every week.

There will be new episodes of LU Dec. 10 and 17 before the show takes off for the holidays and returns Jan. 7.  On New Year's Eve, El Rey will air a marathon of every episode in order and if you haven't been checking it out, I strongly advise that you take advantage of that.

The best episode yet.  A Royal Rumble with pinfalls instead of battle royal rules to crown the first champion, and they gave it the entire hour.  It never felt rushed or slow and was just 60-minutes of amazing wrestling and crazy high spots, working in all the existing angles in a bit of booking brilliance.  The hour flew by, unlike any hour of Raw which is Chinese water torture, and so thoroughly destroyed the debut of Impact on Destination America that it almost goes without saying.  I don't know if any company will ever beat this episode with a better free TV show in all of 2015.  And the real Royal Rumble will have a tough time beating this too.
