So the Nats add Scherzer to the team and now they are the odds-on favorite?

The Nats are a good defensive team but they gotta add some big bats.

They added Yunel Escobar.  That is the clincher right there!:):)

My Deee-troit Tigers are gonna take a little slip this year. How far remains to be seen.

Sounds kind of silly but when my son goes to Vegas next month I have to have him lay down a bet on the Cubs for me.

Silly? Probably. I'm not a Cub fan and I'm probably the only guy in Chicago to never step foot in Wrigley Field but...

Our Buddy Claw always told me that the Cubs would win it the first year he was gone.
Of course nobody saw it coming so soon but Claw was a great Cub fan if nothing else so why not?

Sure miss him being around here.

Nice tribute to Claw, I might do the same, but it's hard for me to root against my Mets. :)

I like the Blue Jays and Marlins at their odds as long-shots.
The Sawx & Cubz are horribly overrated, and the Yankees should be worse than 25-1 as well.
The Braves should be far closer to the bottom.

Lol you should see Baseball Prospectus.  They have the Yankees at 80-82 but the Rays and Sox tied for the division with 86 wins.

FWIW, the Sporting News preseason magazine has the Cubs winning the World Series.

I don't know if that's good or a jinx.

Boston will have a tough time with that pitching staff. Starting rotation a big question mark.
