Anyone watching this FOX sitcom?  One of the more original ideas by network TV standards.  SNL alum Will Forte is the creator and star.  The first episode literally just has him in it wandering around contemplating suicide until the last 5 seconds when he finds a second survivor.  Extremely ballsy to debut a network comedy in that fashion, certainly something that's never been done before.  More survivors have been added since then, I think there's 7 people in it now, and it's become more of a traditional sitcom and less dark, but I'm enjoying it.   Certainly better than MacGruber.  The gorgeous January Jones is simultaneously doing this show while wrapping up the final season of "Mad Men".

I think there's only ever been one 30 minute sitcom in history with 1 person in it - the Bedsitter episode of Hancock's Half Hour, as he tries to occupy himself for a Sunday.

I'm watching it.  It's pretty good as far as sitcoms go.

I love the endorsement "Certainly better than MacGruber."

Love January Jones.

Forte is a bit of a strange one but I enjoy his humor, minus McGruber being so overblown. I'm pretty sure he wrote the sketch where he was the basketball coach with Peyton Manning on SNL, which was just bizarre and hilarious.

Cancelled toady, along with "Brooklyn Nine-9" and "The Mick". This is a real bummer as it was one of maybe 5 shows on network TV worth watching, and there was a big cliffhanger at the end of the season finale last week where a few hundred people wearing gas masks emerged from an underground bunker and surrounded who we thought were the only handful of survivors.  Clearly the show was about to take a much different direction.

"The Mick" was actually a pretty good show too, a slightly toned down version of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" starring the girl from that show.

Early word has "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" going to Hulu (which already has the streaming rights), Netflix, TBS or maybe NBC (where it would be a good companion to "Superstore"). The showrunners want to keep it going and the cast seems game, so my guess and hope are that it will live on for another season. It's been helped by a lot of positive push from the entertainment media and from various social media tastemakers/influencers over the past day.

NBC has picked up “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” for the 2018-19 season.
