No question Hans Mortier. He feuded with Bruno in for the title 1963 in the WWWF and he did in fact once held the European Heavyweight Championship.

Mortier was billed it in the 60s. I don't think Beej is going back that far.

Both Waldo Von Erich and Baron Von Raschke were billed as "European Champion" in the '70s. Waldo was first, I only read about that, never saw it.  But I think the Baron was actually announced as Euro Champ on either an MSG card or Championship Wrestling show that aired on WWE 24/7 close to the end of the service.

Beej, I think you're gonna have to make a ruling on this. I don't think any of us are wrong but since I'm the first to say Baron, I should get 2pts.

Baron Von Raschke is the correct answer.

According to the original rules the contest questions starts at May 17, 1963 when Bruno beat Rogers. Thus Mortier qualifies.

This is the original question:
Question #4

What challenger to the WWWF title also claimed to be the European Heavyweight champion?

The question doesn't specify when the claim of being European Heavyweight champion had to be made or that it had to be made while Mortier was challenging Bruno. It just states ALSO claimed to be European Heavyweight champion. That claim could of been made at anytime. That is the way I read the question, as two separate entries.

I am going to throw out the question.

I was looking for Waldo Von Erich. I was aware of Von Raschke's 'claim' but I don't believe he had the actual belt (Waldo did)

Another question coming.

Is this question being eliminated? I had the first  right answer as Waldo will I be credited with it?

Baron didn't have a belt - that is correct!
