Crucified nun dies in 'exorcism'
A Romanian nun has died after being bound to a cross, gagged and left alone for three days in a cold room in a convent, Romanian police have said.
Members of the convent in north-east Romania claim Maricica Irina Cornici was possessed and that the crucifixion had been part of an exorcism ritual.

Cornici was found dead on the cross on Wednesday after fellow nuns called an ambulance, according to police.

A priest and four nuns were charged with imprisonment leading to death.

Orphan

Police say the 23-year-old nun, who was denied food and drink throughout her ordeal, had been tied and chained to the cross and a towel pushed into her mouth to smother any sounds.

A post-mortem is to be carried out, although initial reports say that Cornici died from asphyxiation.

“ I don't understand why journalists are making such a fuss about this ”
Father Daniel
Local media reports that the young woman had arrived at the remote convent three months before, having initially gone there to visit a friend and opted to stay.

She grew up in an orphanage in Arad, in the west of Romania.

Mediafax news agency said Cornici suffered from schizophrenia and the symptoms of her condition caused the priest at the convent and other nuns to believe she was possessed by the devil.

"They all said she was possessed and they were trying to cast out the evil spirits," police spokeswoman Michaela Straub said.

Father Daniel who is accused of orchestrating the crime is said to be unrepentant.

"God has performed a miracle for her, finally Irina is delivered from evil," AFP quoted the priest as saying.

"I don't understand why journalists are making such a fuss about this. Exorcism is a common practice in the heart of the Romanian Orthodox church and my methods are not at all unknown to other priests," Father Daniel added.

If found guilty of killing Cornici, Father Daniel and the accused nuns could face 20 years in jail.

A little girl goes missing from a busy park. The perp and her are seen by dozens of witnesses. She is found sadistically murdered soon after and the media storm that follows causes the police to bungle the investigation, leading to them arresting the wrong man. 30 years later a new lead has risen that may finally solve this cold case.

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A deaf teen-age girl who walked into a school
nervously seeking help was apparently kidnapped several years ago and moved
around the country, possibly by satanists, an FBI agent said Wednesday.

"From some of the drawings she was able to provide, it is believed that
some of the people she was with since her abduction may have been tied to the
occult," FBI Agent Paul Cavanagh said.

Authorities have had a hard time gathering information from the frightened,
confused girl, but she has given them drawings that include symbols associated
with satanism and indicated she may have been abducted from a foster home in
California, Cavanagh said.

The girl showed up Sept. 18 at William B. Jack Elementary School in
Portland, identifying herself in sign language as Toby Cole.

"She just stopped at the counter. She walked in and signed a little bit,"
said Judi Fox, a teacher's aide who called in a teacher who speaks in sign
language. The teacher realized the girl needed help and took her to the
Governor Baxter School for the Deaf in nearby Falmouth, where authorities
began questioning her.

"Over the next few weeks, Toby provided information which leads us to
believe that she is possibly the victim of a kidnapping abduction," the FBI
said in a statement issued by its Boston office.

"Toby has indicated that she is not sure Toby Cole is her real name, but
is the name given to her by her abductors," the statement said. "She stated
she believes she is 15 years of age and possibly was born on Dec. 25, 1974.
Toby seems to possess a good vocabulary and is far ahead of children in her
age bracket in intelligence and communication skills."

Cavanagh said Wednesday from Boston that psychologists and child-care
experts dealing with the girl have pieced together enough information to
believe she was abducted from California about three years ago, then moved
several times, possibly into Canada.

"She claims to have been abducted by a male out there who was driving a
van at the time," Cavanagh said. He said authorities had no reason to doubt
the girl's story, but had found no missing person reports matching her.

Michael Kent
●Michael Kent, 6, of Port McNicoll, Ontario, was found stabbed to death next to Elmvale Community Centre at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Friday, February 11th, 1966. Elmvale is approximately 125 km north of Toronto; the Elmvale community centre is in George Park on George St. Michael and his family had gone to the arena with his family that evening to watch his brother play in a hockey game. At some point, as the family was milling about in the lobby, Michael became separated from his mother, and was either lured or dragged outside to the side of the arena where he was stabbed. The murder weapon was later found on the roof of the arena, but it did not yield fingerprints.
When they found six-year-old Michael Kent he was motionless, lying face down in the muddy snow on the west side of the parking lot of the arena in Elmvale, a small community 120 kilometers north of Toronto. The fair-haired boy, one of five Kent siblings, was still wearing his navy blue and white toque and his navy blue ski jacket but it was now covered with mud and blood. Michael had been stabbed seven times, four times in the abdomen and three times in the back. There was no indication he had been sexually assaulted. Police later surmised that the small boy’s face had been held down in the mud while he was killed on that winter day, February 11, 1966. A half century later, Michael’s murder remains unsolved.
When they found six-year-old Michael Kent he was motionless, lying face down in the muddy snow on the west side of the parking lot of the arena in Elmvale, a small community 120 kilometres north of Toronto. The fair-haired boy, one of five Kent siblings, was still wearing his navy blue and white tuque and his navy blue ski jacket but it was now covered with mud and blood. Michael had been stabbed seven times, four times in the abdomen and three times in the back. There was no indication he had been sexually assaulted. Police later surmised that the small boy’s face had been held down in the mud while he was killed on that winter day, February 11, 1966. A half century later, Michaels murder remains unsolved.
It is possible the killer is now dead. Perhaps he’s in prison, serving time for other offences. Or, perhaps he got away with one of the most heinous crimes, despite an intensive police investigation and despite the fact that footprints were found and the murder weapon was located immediately. A fishing knife with a four-inch long steel blade was found on the roof of the curling rink, roughly 50 feet from the spot where Michael’s body was found. Within weeks, dozens of investigators had interviewed more than 3,000 people and interrogated 50 suspects. One hundred and twenty people who were in the area of the rink the night of the killing were interviewed. Investigators went door to door to the hundreds of homes in Elmvale with a photograph of the murder weapon. Police were clearly frustrated at their inability to solve the terrible crime. "There is no apparent motive to this senseless killing" Insp. James McBride, of the Ontario Provincial Police, told the Globe and Mail newspaper in an interview weeks after the murder, as the investigation dragged on. “A murderer, that's all we âre looking for, and you tell me what a murderer looks like. As for suspects well, everybody's a suspect. I'm the only one I'm really sure about.
McBride said Michael's wounds were deep, clearly inflicted with considerable force, suggesting that the attacker was older and was not a child.
The Kent family, who lived in nearby Port McNicoll, had gone to the rink that evening because son John, 12 had a game. Michael knew the rink well. He played there on Tuesdays. On Feb. 11, mother Ann Kent took her two youngest children, infant Kevin and daughter Allison, 3, to the stands while her husband went to the dressing room to help John dress for the game. In the confusion, Michael disappeared. When John Kent joined his family in the stands, they realized Michael was missing. His body was found in the parking lot, roughly an hour after they had arrived at the rink, by a family friend.
"I searched all around the arena's inside" John Kent later told a reporter. “Who would have thought to look outside? I mean, I just figured he had wandered off somehwere; you know, he was so familiar with the place.”
Police later said they confirmed that Michael was in the dressing room and talked to teammates on his brother John’s team. He was also seen in the arena lobby.
A $5,000 reward was offered at the time for help in solving the crime. Investigators were flooded with tips, many of them anonymous. The Ontario government is now offering a $50,000 reward.
Perhaps the most cryptic lead surfaced roughly one month after the killing, in March 1966. The Globe and Mail reported that someone claimed to know the identity of the killer. A brief story appeared in the paper on March 10, 1966:
A letter was shoved under the door of the Penetanguishene office of the Midland Free Press Herald yesterday from a person claiming to know the identity of the murderer of Michael Kent, 6. The boy was killed at Elmvale Arena on Feb. 11 while a brother played hockey. His body was found in the arena yard and later a knife, believed to have been the murder weapon, was found on a section of the arena roof. The letter to the weekly newspaper was unsigned, and the writer said he wishes to remain anonymous because of personal danger.

On Halloween night 1974, Timothy O’Bryan went trick-or-treating with his dad and friends in Deer Park, Texas. They approached a house with the lights turned off but decided to knock anyway. Nobody came to the door, and everyone in the group except Timothy’s dad moved on to the next house. He quickly caught up with the group. He was holding a handful of Pixy Stix, claiming that they had come from the previous home. He passed some around to the children, including two of his own kids.

Timothy wanted a little snack that night from his stash of candy, and his dad, Ronald Clark O’Bryan, told Timothy that he could have the Pixy Stix. The boy ate a few and died just an hour later. The police determined that the Pixy Stix were partially filled with cyanide. Luckily, the other kids had not eaten theirs yet.Ronald told authorities that the poisoned candy had come from the dark house that night, but the man living there had an alibi that checked out. He was not home that night. Police started to look toward Ronald for the murder, especially after realizing that he had just taken out life insurance policies on his children. He owed debts of over $100,000 and was hoping to use the insurance money to take care of them. Ronald maintained his innocence, but a jury took less than an hour to convict him of the murder. He was executed 10 years after his son’s death.

On the evening of April 25, 1988, 20-year old Central Texas College student Elizabeth Campbell went to her boyfriend’s home in Killeen for a group study session. At some point, the couple got into an argument until Elizabeth stormed out of the house. Elizabeth lived with her parents in Lampasas, which was 30 miles away, but a motorist gave her a ride to Copperas Cove and dropped her off at a 7-11, which was still a considerable distance from her home. Since Elizabeth was an employee at another 7-11, the staff allowed her to use the store phone to call her boyfriend for a ride, but he refused to come pick her up. She tried calling her parents, but they did not wake up in time to answer the phone. Elizabeth then said she would try calling her brother, but since it was a long-distance call, she didn’t want to use the store phone and went outside to use the payphone. After this, Elizabeth vanished without a trace.

Elizabeth’s parents spent the next several weeks distributing thousands of missing persons fliers throughout Texas. At one point, her mother traveled to a gas station near Waco, 85 miles from where Elizabeth was last seen, and the convenience store clerk actually recognized Elizabeth from her flier. He remembered seeing a young woman matching Elizabeth’s description six days after she was reported missing. She was accompanied by an unidentified Asian man, who kept a strong grip on her arm and looked very possessive of her. When the clerk tried to speak to the woman, the man briskly dragged her out of the store. Shortly thereafter, a clerk at a convenience store in Copperas Cove also recognized Elizabeth from her flier and described a strikingly similar incident which took place two weeks after Elizabeth’s disappearance. A woman matching Elizabeth’s description entered the store alongside a possessive Asian male who held a firm grip on her arm and would not let her speak. Another sighting of Elizabeth took place on July 10 at a gas station in Garland, 150 miles away from Copperas Cove. A witness bumped into the frightened-looking woman resembling Elizabeth as she was exiting the convenience store. While police were skeptical that these women were actually Elizabeth, these sightings made her parents wonder if she was being kept alive and forced into prostitution by her unidentified male companion.

The most bizarre development took place in June 1992 when the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department in Ozona discovered that they had Elizabeth’s purse in their property room. It contained some of her identification, including her social security card and credit card, but her makeup, hair brush and keys were missing. Ozona is located 200 miles from where Elizabeth was last seen and the sheriff’s department had no record of where the purse came from or who might have turned it in.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/t/thomas_dorien.html

9 year old Dorien Thomas went missing in Amarillo Texas in October of 1998. He was last seen airing up his tires on his bike so he could run to a local convenience store to get some candy and chips.

Police have little clues to work with (or at least that they will release). His bike has never been found and he seemingly disappeared without a trace.

Originally it was thought that a family friend picked up Dorien and took him to Dallas. But after talking to the family friend, it was determined that this wasn't the case.

Adding more mystery to his disappearance is this.

Less than a year prior to his disappearance, Dorian and some friends found the body of Gloria Ann Covington behind the YMCA building in Amarillo. She had been stabbed to death.

A month after Covington's death, Linda Jackson was murdered. Both Gloria and Linda were last seen getting into a light colored pickup truck. It is believed that both women were prostitutes. Neither of these murders have been solved.

Was Dorien Thomas's disappearance related to either of these murders?

Something else that is intriguing. A friend of the victims (Gloria and Linda) was beaten by a white Caucasian man in September 1998. The friend stopped by a house for help...it happened to be Dorien Thomas' mom's house. The friend stated that Dorien was home at the time and that the assailant saw Dorien and his mom.

Was the assailant the same man who murdered the two prostitutes? Did he have anything to do with Dorien Thomas' disappearance?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Mary_Jane_Barker

https://www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/comments/4gayut/a_girl_a_dog_and_a_closet_the_strange_death_of/

Mary Jane Barker was a 4-year-old girl from Bellmawr, New Jersey. At 10:30 am on February 25, 1957, Mary Jane disappeared from a yard near her house along with a 4-month-old black spaniel puppy belonging to one of her neighbours.
Mary Jane was initially presumed kidnapped, and fresh footprints along a nearby stream seemed to be those of a man, child, and dog. Bellmawr Police Chief Edward Garrity said a pair of Mary Jane's shoes fitted the smaller impression left on the mud bank.
On March 3, Barker's neighbor, 6-year-old Maria Freitta, the owner of the missing puppy, went with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Vecchia, to the property they had recently purchased: a vacant, newly built ranch house on 433 2nd Ave. While playing in the house, Maria opened the door to a 3' x 5' bedroom closet. Her missing puppy bounded out, alive and well. Also in the closet was Mary Jane. She was dead, in a seated position, the hood of her blue coat partially covering her hair. An inspection showed marks from her desperate attempts to escape. Although the door was unlocked, a thumb screw inside was said to make it difficult for a young child to open.
Mary Jane had lived in the closet for three days, and she had been alive when she entered it. Since she had been missing for five days, it is assumed that she had been dead for two days when found. The house was being renovated at the time. It had been searched three times previously by dozens of people looking for the lost girl. It had also been visited by workmen laying tiles in the basement in the days Mary had been alive but missing, but they apparently heard no sign of her or the dog.

The autopsy revealed no signs of violence, sexual or otherwise. It also showed that the last thing she'd consumed was some chocolate milk on the morning of her disappearance. The dog was euthanized in order to examine its stomach contents, at which time it was found that it had been with Mary Jane in the closet the whole time. Authorities were unable to determine how the dog had survived. Mary Jane's death was ultimately ruled a case of starvation with exposure as a contributing factor. Due to a hole in the closet, she could not have suffocated. Though this is certainly how her life ended, some very important questions remain:

What led Mary Jane into the closet of an unfamiliar property two blocks from her home?

What about the footprints of the man, the child and the dog?
Why wasn't Mary Jane found during the three previous searches?

Was it mere coincidence that the house belonged to relatives of the owner of the missing dog?

Was it coincidence that Maria looked in the closet to discover her missing friend?

Is it possible for a four-year-old child to starve and die of exposure while a puppy survives the same conditions?

Was this a bungled investigation, or a bizarre, tragic accident?

http://www.denverpost.com/2009/11/18/michigan-dad-accused-of-killing-son-over-sex-abuse-claim/

An enraged Highland Park, Michigan father is accused of killing his son - as he begged for his life - after learning the teen may have sexually abused a toddler.

Jamar Pinkney Sr., 37, irate over hearing his 15-year-old son Jamar Pinkney Jr. had sexual contact with a 3-year-old girl made the teen strip at gunpoint, marched him to a vacant lot and shot him to death despite pleas from the boy and his mother, a relative said.

Michigan authorities filed a first-degree murder charge Wednesday against Pinkney Sr. in his son's shooting death Monday.

Defense attorney Corbett O'Meara said prosecutors should consider evidence of the father's state of mind over the sex abuse report.

"If something were to happen that would cause a reasonable person to lose control of himself, that is something the prosecution would have to take into account," O'Meara said outside Highland Park District Court.

Tensions were high in the courtroom Wednesday as the handcuffed suspect was led into the room for the arraignment, which lasted less than a minute. "No, No, No," one female relative cried before a police officer escorted her out.

The boy's mother, Lazette Cherry, told the Detroit Free Press that her son told her he had improper sexual contact with the girl.

"I called and told his father. This isn't something you sweep under the rug," she said. Cherry said the elder Pinkney arrived at the home with a gun, ordered his son to strip and marched him outside despite her protests.

"He got on his knees and begged, `No, Daddy, No,' and he pulled the trigger," Cherry said.

A couple die in an accident while transporting acid, with their son vanishing in the process. It is later learned drug smuggling ties into the story, but the fate of the child remains....unsolved...

https://bizarreandgrotesque.com/2016/04/01/the-case-of-juan-pedro-martinez-gomez-europes-strangest-disappearance/

Europe’s strangest disappearance, as Interpol once put it, all began with an innocent road trip. Andrés Martinez was a truck driver who lived in the south of Spain in Fuente Alamo, Murcia. He sometimes took his wife Carmen Gomez and their 10-year-old son Juan Pedro on his trips. His latest job was to transport 20,000 liters of sulfuric acid far up north to Bilbao, a city in Spain’s autonomous Basque Country. Since Juan Pedro finished the school year with such good grades, his father promised that he could go along to the trip to Bilbao. Carmen would also go to keep an eye on Juan Pedro.

On June 24, 1986, the family picked up the truck in the city of Cartagena around 7 PM. By 6 in the morning, the truck had entered Somosierra, a mountain pass to the north of Madrid. Perhaps as a result of broken brakes, Andrés was speeding at this point at 140 km (86 mi) per hour. His driving became reckless in the mountains; without slowing down once, he broke off another driver’s car mirror and then bumped into another car from behind. After the car he rear-ended got out of his way, Andrés crashed head-on with a truck that had come down from the opposite direction. The crash caused his truck to overturn, spilling the sulfuric acid out onto the side of the road and covering the area with a toxic mushroom cloud.

When the authorities arrived, they had to quickly act to neutralize the acid before it leaked into a near-by river. After the area was cleaned up, they found two bodies in the crashed truck, those of Andrés and Carmen. Juan Pedro was missing, however, and it wouldn’t be until later in the day that the police even knew that he had been riding along with his parents.
Investigators later searching the truck found a tape of children’s songs and some clothes, but no actual sign of Juan Pedro. They checked beneath the truck and the sand and lime they used to neutralize the acid, yet still were unable to find any remains. Could he have been melted by the sulfuric acid? Chemists dismissed the idea. If Juan Pedro really did fall out of the truck and into the acid, he would have at least left behind some hair or nails on the scene. Instead, there was no evidence that he was in the truck or the area at the time of the crash.

The last anybody saw of the family before the crash was at a bar around 5:30. Andrés and Carmen ordered coffee, and Juan Pedro had some milk and a pastry. There was nothing to indicate that they were upset, and the waiter watched their truck leave from the parking lot. Examining the truck, investigators discovered that there was nothing wrong with Andrés’ brakes. Nobody could say why he was speeding so recklessly, but he was doing it by his own choice. Another strange detail was found in his tachometer; the instrument recorded that Andrés had stopped his truck 12 times as he went up the mountain during a period of 20 minutes. Other truckers said that stopping even once on the mountain pass was unnecessary, let alone a dozen times.

So why did Andrés feel the need to drive so fast and stop so frequently? The most popular theory is that Juan Pedro had been abducted, and that his father was chasing after him. Others suggest that Andrés was trying to run away from somebody. After he crashed, his pursuer might have kidnapped Juan Pedro before the police showed up. (It might seem unlikely that Juan Pedro would have survived the crash, but the driver in the other car did actually live.)
Moments before the crash, the man who Andrés rear-ended told police that he pulled off the road and was assisted by a foreign man and blonde-haired woman in a white van. The woman was allegedly a nurse and looked over the man’s injuries. Two shepherds in the area, neither of whom the police were able to trace, were said to have seen a white van pull up to Andrés’ truck after his collision with the other car. A man and blonde-haired woman went into the truck and took something out of it, possibly a package or Juan Pedro.

Some believe that the mysterious couple might have been drug traffickers. In 1987, the media reported that traces of heroin had been found in the trailer where Andres was carrying the sulfuric acid. There were rumors that Andrés had done some drug smuggling before, but his family later disproved this with the help of a private detective. If drugs really were involved, perhaps drug traffickers approached Andrés that day and asked him to transport something for them. If he refused, the traffickers might have kidnapped Juan Pedro as ransom. On the other hand, Andrés could have voluntarily accepted because he didn’t want any trouble.

A second theory speculates that there was no drug smuggling or kidnapping at all. Juan Pedro might have survived the crash and left the truck. While looking for help, he stumbled upon the foreign man and blonde woman. The couple tried to drive him to a hospital, but he died on the way there. Another variation of this theory proposes that Juan Pedro was burned by the acid and tried to go to the river to soothe his burns. Considering the gigantic search for Juan Pedro after it was discovered that he was missing, it seems likely he would have been found had he wandered around the area and collapsed or died somewhere.

Juan Pedro’s family believes that he is still alive. In May 1987, a man in Madrid met a blind old woman and a boy who looked like Juan Pedro. The woman was an Iranian refugee looking for the American embassy. She said that she and her family had been in Spain for only 6 months, yet the boy she was with spoke fluent Spanish with an Andalusian accent. (Juan Pedro came from a part of Spain where the people have a similar accent.) When the man complimented the boy’s strong Spanish, the old woman got nervous and wouldn’t explain how he knew the language so well. Although the man didn’t recognize the boy at the time, he was later certain that it was Juan Pedro.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Mark_Kilroy

On March 14, 1989, University of Texas at Austin student Mark Kilroy was kidnapped in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, while vacationing during spring break. He was taken by his abductors to a ranch where he was tortured and sodomized for hours before being murdered in a human sacrifice ritual. Kilroy was killed with a machete blow and then had his brain removed and boiled in a pot. His killers then inserted a wire through his backbone, chopped off his legs, and buried him at the ranch along with 14 other people who had been killed there before him.

In April 1930, the Los Angeles Times began publishing what would end up being month's worth of eye-popping details from an exceedingly strange court case. It involved a “comely” woman named Dolly, her murdered husband, and her lover, a man known as the “garret ghost” who, at Dolly’s behest, lived a “bat-like life in hidden rooms.”

Dolly Oesterreich had a lover, Otto Sanhuber, who had secretly lived in the attic of the house for years. This wasn't even the first secret attic the guy lived in: Before the Oesterreichs moved to Los Angeles, Otto spent ten years stashed away in the attic of their Milwaukee home. He began an affair with Dolly while working for Fred. When the neighbors became suspicious of his frequent visits, Dolly convinced him to quit his job and move into the attic. You know, as one does.

https://bizarreandgrotesque.com/2015/08/12/the-death-to-pedophiles-skull/

On February 10, 2012, a professional diver looking for sea urchins off the resort of Antibes in southeastern France found something far grislier: a human skull. The skull, which was discovered on a seabed that was 10 meters (32 feet) deep into the water, had the words “Death to pedophiles” drawn on it, along with the scribbling of a shooting target.

The diver called the police, and several more dives in the area turned up a pair of arm bones, a leg bone, and part of a jawbone. Forensic tests determined that the bones had belonged to four different people, two men and two women. The skull was estimated to have been that of a 50-year-old man, and the rest of the bones, which were difficult to examine, might have come from people under the age of 30. It’s possible that the bones had been underwater for over a decade.

In this remarkable photo from 1853, a man named Joseph Avery can be seen desperately clinging to a log in the middle of the Niagara River. Avery was part of a group of three men that were boating along the river, their vessel losing control in the strong current and smashing into a rock.
Avery's two companions were carried straight to their death over the waterfall, but Avery was able to scramble onto a log that was caught between two rocks. After holding on for eighteen hours, Avery managed to climb onto a rescue boat that was guided downriver. Unfortunately, the boat capsized almost immediately, tossing Avery straight into the river and over the falls.

Katherine Knight was the first Australian woman to ever be sentenced to life without parole, and for very good reason. One fateful night in the year 2000, Knight went to see her boyfriend, John Price, with whom she was currently having a fight. During the night, Price stabbed him at least 37 times with a butcher knife, as he bled out on the floor of his home. But, unfortunately, it didn't stop there.

Knight then skinned him and hung the skin on a meat hook in the lounge. She then butchered parts of his body and made an extravagant meal out of them, "serving up the meat with baked potato, pumpkin, zucchini, cabbage, yellow squash and gravy." When police discovered the dishes, they were set neatly at the table, with the names of his children on cards at each place setting. It appears that she was planning on serving his body parts to his own children.

Knight claimed to remember doing none of this, but a judge didn't buy it. She is still serving out her life imprisonment in New South Wales.

High-profile one. Harold Holt, Australian Prime Minister, went for a swim 50 years ago today.

Never been seen since.

Not many heads of government go so AWOL. Cyrus the Great is the only other one I can think of OTTOMH. There were rumours that the Soviets got him. Allies said they murdered him; detractors that he defected to them.

I was just looking up a Stampede guy named Roger Daggitt and it seems that he was a underworld figure who died at age 39 when he was shot in the head. So I wondered if you have any interest in these shady wrestler stories (like Wayne Bock). They certainly seem to be interesting people
