I'll go 1982 with the Dusty vs Sullivan 'Loser Leaves Town' in a cage with Santa Claus (Jake) interfering and I will bet the crowd was sooooo not expecting Dusty to lose.

Michael Hayes dressed as Santa. Hayes dressed as the holly ST.Nick, attacks Mike Von Erich during a Freebirds/Von Erich tag match. Hayes lost a loser leaves town I think a month earlier.

How about that time Jeff Bob Crachett booked an extra piece of coal out of Scrooge MacManimous on his way out of town? Pretty sure it was done in August but it showed up in "Names Makin' News" on the pages of Inside Wrestling just in time for the holiday season. Ho Ho Ho hah haah...

Von erichs/Freebirds happened just as I was getting into wrestilng but we didn't get world class til maybe 6 months later so I got hints of it through other wrestling shows and the Apter mags.

I will always remember being on a ski trip in New Mexico as a kid but taking the time to watch Georgia/WCW as Butch Reed was promoing his upcoming match with Ric Flair. I marked for Reed on his face run there then a few months later he was basically a heel in MidSouth. SOUPBONES!

Beej hit the nail on the head with Sullivan vs. Rhodes.

Sullivan's interview was classic. He said something about being a very good boy so Santa gave him a present.
