I thought the whole Rock segment last night was way too looooooong and was about as funny ( especially the bit with Lana and Rusev ) as getting some root canal work done. But apparently I am in the minority as today all I've read over at the DVDVR and HFBoards sites are glowing reviews about how funny the Rock was on RAW. :? Have I finally become the grumpy old guy who does nothing but complain about today's product and starts every sentence with " Back when I was growing up......". What are some of the opinions here - not on the whole show but just the Rock schtick ????

I watched up until New Day came out and was entertained by it, especially when he went down and talk to the fans.

I haven't seen the New Day part yet, it was around 11 when I got to that part of the show and I guess I have become that old man who goes to bed by that time or else every night.

It went on a bit too long, but at this point The Rock could stand out there reading the phone book and people would eat it up.

I am with you here.  The Rock is very entertaining and has set the bar pretty high.  The Big Show bit was funny, but I thought the stuff with Rusev and Lana was a little tasteless, considering they are together in real life.  I also thought the stuff at ringside was good, but I thought his comebacks to the New Day were actually kind of lame.  Again, to his credit, he has set the bar pretty high.

I turned it off in the middle of the Rusev thing. The Big Show stuff made me laugh though. Thing is last night was probably the only Raw I've watched in 6 months, I recorded it just to see AJ Styles, I watched his match, saw that Rock part and gave up, man, I really DON'T give a shit anymore..

The Rock's just on a different charisma level than everyone else, and has the freedom to do whatever he wants and legitimately doesn't give a fuck, in a good way. That's why he always seems like a breath of fresh air, especially since he's not overexposed anymore. When he went out to talk to the goofy fans who were dressed up as wrestlers, it wasn't even that funny but NO ONE else has the balls to ever do anything other than stiffly read their lines and pray they don't get fired like Brad Maddox, so it seems awesome. It really shows not just how good The Rock is, but how unwatchable everyone else in the company is when they have a mic.  Vince has created an atmosphere where if you look like you're having fun, you probably won't get on TV for another 6 months, and it shows.

It did drag. He got sidetracked quite a bit which led to some awkward pauses. It did not help that he seemed all hopped up on Mountain Dew or something. Still, he was entertaining. The best part with new day was llama penis and the Uso run in, but yeah, it did drag on too long. I love that he went over to the cosplayers because WWE moved them so they would not be on camera.

Not much he could have said there. Macho is dead. Hogan is "dead" to the company.

You have not lost your sense of humor. You have lost your ability to spell 'humor' however.

He's Canadian.  They write British but speak French.  They don't have much going for them so the rest of us just let it slide.

I look forward forward to Beejmi's impassioned Trump-esque post where he says, "This is America!  We speak American here!  I will build a firewall so big around Canadian servers, these illegals will never be able to post here again with their weird spellings and 34-page hockey threads that no one else reads.  Make America great again and outlaw the "u"!"
