Who all has ever actually seen one? I mean, seen one, not on TV or a picture. We have one coming , I am thinking the 'hurricane' is a better option.

When I 1st moved to Michigan we were hit by 1 & it was very trippy because it was all new to me. Luckily we were inside a movie theatre in Sterling Heights so we were relatively insulated but it was incredibly intense

It's been awhile so I can't remember if it was one or several tornados but it had carved a damaged path that started in Detroit/Hamtramack area to a couple of miles northeast of our location. If I jumped into a car from where I was located to where it started it'd take be about 35-40 minutes of travel
Edit: It was more than 1 & part of this 'event'

I thought this was a teaser that a member of the Culver Clan had joined S&W.

I have seen a handful of tornados, but they were all aloft. I was never within a half mile of one but the sound and fury is still daunting.

WOW. What a memory you have.

Who were the other members? Was there a 'Rose' in there somewhere maybe?

I never saw it, but we had one come through just a few streets down about 10 years ago. We were in the basement as we'd learned to do.  The dogs get freaked out beyond belief and I think they know something's amiss.

Taekwon Rose.  I think Tornado was originally Hitman or something like that. Can't remember the others.

Seen a couple. We were not far from Saginaw during the Tornado Infamous mentioned above.

I had a duplicate account named " cyclone " there and used it to post the exact opposite of whatever tardnado posted. Well I had that account until claw deleted it. He sent me a PM saying that he didn't want to but juanita had y'all getting rid of usernames linked to the same email.

One narrowly missed my house about 10 years ago. I've seen a few funnel clouds in the distance also.

I have been very close a few times but never actually in one. Areas hit look like a drone strike and then everyone's shit is hanging from trees 1/2 mile down the road.

They're a rarity where I live so I've never seen one. However, night of the 1992 Great American Bash (Sting vs. Vader) I went over to a friend's house to watch it. While the show was going on a huge storm passed through town. When I tried returning to my apartment, most of the streets were blocked off by fallen trees and/or cops. I finally made it back home and when day light came it was determined that a small tornado had passed basically on the other side of the street. Ripped the roof off several buildings.

I live in Vale NC, back in 89 an F4 came through and wiped out a lot of homes less than a quarter mile from my house. It killed 4 people all of them family friends. I didn't actually see it, I was at work but my mom called me 5 min after it hit and told me, when I got home it looked like a war zone. The store that I had filled up at 5 hours earlier was totally gone, the road that leads to my house was partly a big open field when it use to be covered in trees...crazy stuff..
