Mine would have to be being tired of a certain woman when I should not have been. Wish I could have that decision back.

According to some: watching TV on a Sunday morning in 1982--- saw a video for Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills" and then the AWA with Hulk Hogan, Jerry Blackwell and the rest. Haven't been the same, since

Back in early 2002 I bought just under 5k of Netflix stock to fund my 2001 and 2002 Roth IRA contribution. Within 2 years it had almost quadrupled and I was really happy with the return, and sold the stock. If I'd let it sit today it would be worth @ 450k.

I started investing in real estate back in 1998. In 1999, some cooky school teacher wanted to sell a 3 unit building in Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood for 150,000. The apartment building was under city violation, so I took a pass. That area is now a yuppie paradise. Without exaggeration, I probably could've converted the three units into condos and sold them for 300,000 a piece.

Moved back to Bridgeport about 10 years ago and the area has really gentrified.   Taxes tripled this past year. Should have stood out near the suburbs.

Like others, my ex-wife.  But I did get two great girls out of it so it wasn't all bad.

On the investing track, if I had bought property in Astoria in 2000-2001 or so when I was flush with cash instead of fucking around with the stock market so much, I easily would've been able to make well over a million from a $200,000 investment. And then some.  And I was thinking about it but considered that the riskier investment.

I can't complain about anything else since I'm very happy with my life, and all the decisions I've made have led me here.

On the investment front my mom had the opportunity to takeover a property at yonge and glencairn some 16 years ago and balked. She'd have about 3 mil on top of her investment had she done it.
