style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"Curious about other peoples opinions on the subject. I myself, believe that there are others from "the other side" that visit from beyond. The show Ghost Adventures ( even though the host is a douche) has shown quite a few times that something does exist.

My brother owned a bar that used to be a funeral home. I personally never saw or felt anything in there but he swears some of the stuff was as real as hell and scared the crap out of him. Always after hours it seemed when only he or he with a few people were in there. It's the same bar where Claw and the rest of the wrestling guys brought in Ox, Baron and Mad Dog. The last night when they were closing he saw something that he couldn't describe. It was in some kind of human form and just kept coming at him til it finally went through him. He said he was cold for an hour after that. Guys used to tell him he was drinking and all and though he will admit to having a few too many sometimes he swears he wasn't kidding around. There were some things on You Tube when ghost people came in to investigate. Not sure if they're still on there.

I am not a believer in ghosts, but I do not dismiss them totally. I think the reason for my lack of belief is that I never experienced or encountered one. I due believe in a big way in premonitions and deja vu. I have and continue to experience both.

I've had deja vu many times but there are scientific explanations for it, and it's usually associated with good memory functions, so it's a positive.

Hmmmm I wonder how good memory is involved when I have never been to a certain place before? Maybe this will be a new subject to explore. Your brother however, shouldn't have been cold for a hour afterwards. Maybe there were multiple spirits were near him at the same time?

There are a few locations in my hometown of Winnipeg that are reputed to be haunted the most famous being The Hotel Fort Garry and room 202. http://uniter.ca/view/gone-haunting http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/liberal-mp-reports-curious-encounter-in-winnipeg-hotel/article4167108/ Over the years though I never stayed in the hotel obviously we had been there for functions and up to people's rooms and during the years when there was a casino inside the hotel and I can remember feeling kind of creeped out on certain occasions I was there and not being really sure why. Years ago when I was married and we were living in Windsor Park the cemetery where my maternal grandmother and a couple uncles are buried was close by and I'd frequently walk over and visit. On one occasion while walking our black lab Midnite I decided to swing by the cemetery and pay respects. When we got on the cemetery grounds and I went to where my grandmother is buried and as we got closer to her monument Midnite started freaking out for lack of a better way of putting it. She started shaking and kind of mewling and the occasional growl and she was tugging on her leash something fierce in the opposite direction. I would carry her leash and put it on in certain circumstances such as this particular one since I didn't want her running around and deciding that was a good place to drop a load and had she not been on the leash I'm sure she would have hightailed home on her own. She was never a skittish dog so I waited about a week and took her for a walk and again tried the cemetery visit. Same reaction. Never took here by there again. A friend told me she was sensing the spirits of the deceased. I have this mammoth book that I believe was a gift called Ghosts-True Encounters with the World Beyond written by Hans Holzer. I know I read a fair bit of it over time but not all of it as it's near 800 pages and big enough and heavy enough to kill small animals or midgets with and is a little awkward to read due to its weight and size but I may endeavour to reread some of it.

(The basement area was the old embalming room.)Now according to this guy he said he didn't know anything about the neighborhood's past and he said he didn't know any names but when he mentioned the name of the spirit that was talking to him I nearly pissed my pants. The name was the head of the Mob guy who ran the neighborhood back in the 40's and 50's.The investigator said the spirit kept asking him WTF was he doing there and where were all the people he knew?My brother owned a bar that used to be a funeral home. Creeped me out but like I said I never saw or felt anything in the place. There are some videos on You Tube still and they're under Ethyls Bar Chicago Investigation.

My Dad was born and raised in Guyana. He was named Casimiro after his mother's brother, who died as a child. On the Day of my Dad's confirmation (Catholic coming-of-age ceremony held when the kid is about 13), he was upstairs when he saw a boy down the hall and go into a room. A maid was there as well and saw the boy too. My dad went into the room, but no one was there. He asked the maid who that was, and she said "that was your uncle Casimiro". She knew the boy when he was still alive. My dad graduated first in his medical school and practiced medicine in Canada for 50 years without even so much as a single complaint against him. When he says something, you can usually bank on it. Last edited on Mon Nov 28th, 2016 03:21 am by Qaenos |

I want to believe in such but I have had loved ones pass on that I literally know would have made their presence felt if there was any way possible.

I go either way on this. Sometimes reason takes over and I'm like "yeah, RIGHT..." but then I hear stuff from friends and people that make me think differently. My wife used to work for a home healthcare place in Lenoir NC, she did the billing and their office there was in an OLD house. Tammy told me nonchalantly one day "There's a ghost in that house you know." and I'm like "ok, whatever..ugh.." and she proceeds to tell me the first week she started there they warned her, years ago like late 1800's there was a fire in the attic part of the house, a little girl that lived there died and she supposedly haunted that house to this day. That's such a typical "ooooooh, ghosttt story" cliche but she said "I believe it. Stuff happens in there when I'm alone that can't be explained. The copier will out of the blue make blank copies. Stuff will knock around. The radio came on once in the kitchen area and I was the only one in the house. I just said "Look little girl, it's just you and me, let's get along" and I haven't gotten scared since". I really thought my wife was just full of it, I mean, I believed SHE believed it but come on. Then I googled NC ghost stores once and there it was, someone had reported on that ghost before, Mulberry Home Health, ghost of a little girl haunts the house. I believe her now. WHen I used to go in that place it gave me the creeps even before I knew about the ghost because it was a creepy old house anyway.. Also, I took a picture 15 years ago and it may be a ghost in the pic, I don't know, let me find the pic and you can see it, I'll tell the story..

OK, this is the church: http://theinfiltrators.blogspot.com/2009/05/ghost-hunters-of-boone-nc-haunted.html My best friend Doug lives about 15 min from this church, near the NC/Tenn state line. He told me about that church back in the 90's. The story he'd heard his entire life was 100 years ago the pastor at that church had an affair with a young girl in the church. When the people found out about it, out of shame he hung himself from the beam that runs across the church, directly above where the pulpit was. He was buried in the cemetery there, but his headstone is facing right looking at the church in a separate area all by itself. There IS a headstone there that fits that rumor, it's off by itself, I took a picture of it then too but I can't find it. Anyway, he was apparently buried facing the church so he would always have to see the bad stuff he did (as the story goes). Anyway, the church is like a historical place now, it's open on the weekends, you can drive up and go into it and tour the grounds. Around 2000 my wife, Doug and myself went up there. I had one of those (early) Sony Cybershot digital cameras, I think it was 2 megapixel. I was snapping pics in the church. Doug was standing in the doorway reading up on some information they have posted at the door. I thought that was a good pic so I snapped it. Now, I'm standing underneath the beam where the pastor supposedly hung himself... So that evening we go back to our friend's mountain house we were staying at and download the pics to my laptop and start going through them and come up on this picture: ![]() Now, there was no strap on the camera, I had on a short-sleeved shirt, had no bracelet or anything..there was nothing, NOTHING that could have fell in front of the camera there and blocked part of the picture causing that thing in the corner..the thing int he corner that looks like x-rayed feet..under a beam where someone supposedly hung himself. I can't say what that is but the church we were in, the stories we'd heard (some deny it and say he died of cancer or something)...just makes for a good pic and story if nothing else..
