We'll be starting at 9 pm EST tonight. Right here and in this thread.

Thanks in advance to everyone that plays along tonight. I hope the questions bring back memories for each of you as we go back in time and remember the World Wide Wrestling Federation.

Let me go over the rules. We will have 25 questions tonight issued one at a time. First poster to guess the correct answer scores a point. Only one guess per question so if you get it wrong, you are out of action until the next question. Questions have a ten minute maximum time limit (we move on to the next question if one sits there for ten minutes)

One change: if a question lasts ten minutes we will simply move onto the next question as opposed to leaving it open to be answered as we go.

Up for grabs tonight is the hard-to-find Fred Blassie "King Of Men" record album featuring the hit (?) "Pencil Neck Geek". The record album cover shows a little yellowing but is in otherwise good shape as is the record itself. A great keep-sake for any WWWF fan.  The poster who scores the most points tonight wins the prize.

Good luck to everyone.

9 PM it is. Let's get started.

1. What stipulation was added (by Bob Backlund's manager Arnold Skoaland) to the June 1982 MSG Cage Match in which Bob Backlund defended the WWWF title against Jimmy Snuka?

There was no winning via climbing over the top. HBF gets the point although I think Papa Voo just mis-wrote what he meant.

2. What hold or maneuver did Greg Valentine perform on Pedro Morales outside of the ring (out on the floor) to spark their early 1982 feud?

Too late, I am.  It is suplex.

And no, I did not know the Snuka one.  I thought it was just clmibing the cage.

HBF scores.

You guys are awesome. Seriously. 25 questions in less than an hour. Wait til the dayshifters get a load of this. No googling with you guys.

25. A wrestler (wearing blue jeans) showed up on WWWF TV (early 80s) and was managed by Captain Lou Albano. A few weeks later this wrestler was one half of the the “Moondogs” tag team. What name did this wrestler originally come in as?

You can keep the prize.   I did this for the fun of it.

I really enjoyed it!

I actually still play old polkas on the spin records.  I just bought a new turntable.

I could maybe cook some questions up for you if you ever do this, again.

Thanks

It's the first guy I thought of. He was a moondof and he wore old jeans cut off at the shins.

Papa Voo had nine correct. Carpetbeggar and Texas Death Match had four. HBF between tucking his kids in had three.

And yes we will do this again. I am working on an interesting prize.

I enjoy these as well. It really brings back the memories.

This is the equivalent of Shane Douglas throwing down the NWA title after winning it.  Dastardly!

Randy came in first as a single and IIRC The Samoans left abruptly (I think went to Mid South) and they were short a team so came up with The Moondogs.

He didn't tell everyone to kiss his ass like Shane did but I see the connection. Those Pittsburghers and everything.

Yeah we will do again. I really thought the questions were hard enough to take the "fast computer" factor out of the mix. Clearly though PSV knows his WWWF.
