Anyone have the results from the first shows at the various MSG incarnations?  I imagine it can't be too hard to find.

MSG I was around from 1879-1890.  Was wrestling ever held at this venue?

MSG II lasted from 1890-1925.  I imagine they ran some cards.

MSG III was from 1925-1968 and of course was the epicenter of Capitol Wrestling/WWWF as they transitioned more from a DC company to a NY one.

MSG IV is the current incarnation built in 1968 and I think I've seen the first wrestling card at this location posted before.

We can also go with the renovated (and completely ruined) Garden with the new Chase Bridges, which I believe opened in 2013.

NO - absolutely no wrestling happened before January 1984.

This is 1922, I assume?  No wrestling the last 3 years of MSG II's existence?

1922, yes. Wrestling was very sporadic at MSG in those days. Everywhere really. I don't know of anywhere that had anything that could be described as regular wrestling until the mid-late 1920s. The transportation of the day was the main reason, I presume.

Prior to being called Madison Square Gardens, it was called Gilmore Gardens. And wrestling was held on a regular basis at Gilmore.

Scott Teal just dropped an awesome new MSG book at Crowbarpress.com called, "Wrestling in the Garden."
