Maybe Sin Cara could be a better choice. He hasn`t shown up in like 5 years but he made a bigger impact than Kalisto ever did and people still remember his mask.

Sin Cara did officially join the Cruiserweight division at one point, but by the time 205 Live started, they forgot all about it. Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa were announced for the Cruiserwieght division as well when the started airing promos on Raw.

They were in the tournament but that seemed more like a foreshadowing of their break-up.  Maybe something else was planned, but Ciampa got hurt in the match he turned on Gargano and won't be around for a while.  I think Ciampa can go on to better things than 205 Live.  Gargano though is a great wrestler but a bit bland and might be destined for 205 Live.  Honestly, the best spot for both was to remain a team and get called up to SD! together, but that won't happen now.  I don't know about monetarily, but in terms of push and exposure, Gargano staying on NXT for as long as he can instead of going to 205 Live is better for him.

After the tournament, there were promos on Raw for the new division, using clips of the tournament and interviews with the wrestlers. Gargano and Ciampa were in those packages, but by the time the cruiserweights made it to Raw, DIY were tearing it up on NXT, and they never joined Raw.

I think getting called up is better for the wrestler's pocket, but they have even managed to screw up Nakamura on the main roster, so as far as the fans getting to see them do what they do best, I'd rather everyone stay on NXT. Which is a paradox, because one of the main reasons that NXT works is that it never get stale because the top of the card always moves on.

Nakamura isn't being misused as much as he's been sucked into Jinder Mahal's black hole.  With him on top, and the writing for him so dreadful, there's just nothing else Nakamura can do.  They gave him the big push right away, the fantastic entrance, the big wins over Cena and Orton, and he's in the main event title picture.  The push is fine.  The problem is who the champ is right now. They need to end this experiment and put the belt on Nakamura and get him a fresh set of challengers, namely Styles and Owens, but they couldn't do that too quickly because they had invested in Mahal just as Nakamura was being called up.  It was just bad timing.  My concern is that Mahal has to keep the title through the end of the year because they're promoting a big tour of India, and it's centered almost exclusively around Mahal and the Singh Bros.  I doubt they take the belt off of him before those shows, and they're not going to have him be the challenger in those matches and lose.

Pro Wrestling Votes, the source that broke the stories on Neville and Nia Jax, are reporting that the heat on Enzo is still nuclear and he still isn’t allowed in the locker room.

Last night on WWE Network, a new "Straight to the Source" episode aired with Corey Graves interviewing Enzo and almost all of the issues in this thread were discussed.  I hope that Enzo has crossed into working mode now because if not he really is another level of douchebag.  It has to be seen to be believed.  Anyway, Enzo denies just about everything as far as getting kicked off buses and out of locker rooms and kept saying that WWE is a "Fortune 500 company" that is contractually obligated to provide him with transportation and a safe place to change, so that couldn't have happened.  Whatever.

Something new that came to light is that Enzo and Cass apparently are no longer on speaking terms after Enzo berated Cass on Twitter for not being able to finish the match on Raw where Cass got hurt.  Enzo said Cass shouldn't have quit and he's finished lots of matches where he got hurt, even if it's just to crawl back in the ring to get pinned.  They had a brief rebuttal from Cass, filmed in the hospital before the surgery, where Cass pointed out that Enzo got knocked out and concussed in his first WWE PPV match and couldn't finish and Cass went to the hospital with him.

They also included some TMZ clips of Enzo being Super Wigger with his boys outside of clubs and stuff.  Just incredibly obnoxious.

The interview ended with the two discussing their personal heat and Enzo walking out on him and calling him a horrible wrestler and commentator.  That part certainly seemed worked, although the entire interview was really uncomfortable and had a different feel than anything else WWE has done.

So I just watched this, and your description about this feeling uncomfortable in places is accurate.  I'm hoping this was a worked shoot, where some of the stuff (like how they briefly mentioned how Enzo grew up) is a shoot, but the interactions with Corey Graves and Cass are a work.

If it is not a work, then Enzo may have some type of little man's syndrome going on, or he may just be completely nuts.

I remember hearing stories about how other crazy guys like Captain Lou would go nuts and Vince would fire him and hire him back (Bret's book maybe?), but I would think they would be less tolerant today with a loose cannon like that in real life.

For instance, if Enzo is really that crazy, then the corporate WWE would probably have to worry about him being involved in crazy things like sexual misconduct, inappropriate actions caught on video, or anything else that could cause PC trouble.  If he really acts like that all of the time, then he could be a walking time bomb for bad press.

I'm not sure how this production will ultimately help his character.

Pretty sure RAW is just a more turned up version of him in real life.

This is the first time in the last 5 minutes I`ve ever been entertained by a WWE interview. I bet this is going to piss, annoy and trigger both fans and wrestlers (in-shape fans) up and down. Just what they need, real characters, and as long as he doesn`t get drunk and start fucking cows, they should milk it as much as they could.

Mental image of Drew Gulak milking a cow while Enzz is humping it from behind "How you doin'? How You doin'? How Doin'?"

Bringing this thread back up to show how dead-on Boz's assessment was.
