This was January of 1988 and you can see by how well lit it is and the crowd noise that they had a big crowd in Greensboro for this card which taped episodes of World Wide Wrestling and NWA Pro Wrestling. Dusty Rhodes and Bobby Eaton had a fun TV match on the former show. By mid 1988 crowds had fallen sharply and by early 1989 the town, once the money machine in this promotion, was dead. There was a WCW Saturday Night taping there in December of 1989 and there were maybe 3,000 people in what was then a 16,000 seat facility (now it's in excess of 20,000).

This lead to a 'barbed wire' match between the teams in which there was 'no blood'

Favorite part of this has always been when the weights go rolling towards the crowd and you can see crew guys running over to try to stop them before they take out the front row.
